Bandwagon Fans signal program demise and return of Christ all in one day

I've yet to see anyone say "Cuonzo Martin is UT basketball." That's a bandwagon fan. Fans trying to fire themselves up about the hire are not being bandwagon fans.

I was a fan before Yarborough and Haislip. With that being said, Pearl essentially doubled the teams tournament wins, doubled the teams sweet 16's and took the team farther than they've ever gone. Tennessee basketball has been around how long, 100 years? It took Pearl all of 6 years to match and it all started with a 14-17 team.

Acknowledging the fact that he is the most successful coach Tennessee has ever had doesn't make you a bandwagon fan. I guess facts are stupid though and it's just easier to call people bandwagon fans if they don't share your view. If the people that supported Pearl are bandwagon fans, the people that turned on him are Judas.

Have a nice day and keep up the good work! You're doing a great job weeding out the real fans. :hi:

P.s. Good luck Zo. I hope the success continues.

Well I said this when Pearl was fired that UT would go out and hire some mid major guy or top assistant coach that nobody has heard of and boy did I hit the nail dead on the head....I know UT basketball...Watched it since the early 70's and know how this school views basketball...I don't claim to know every stat from over the years as that stuff was never important to me...Winning was all I wanted for this program....The bottom line is this guy was the best We could get...The truth hurts and that's the truth....No top coach wanted this gig and probably over half of them were not even contacted....This guy was hired more or less as a band aid to get through the probation We are more than likely fixing to get hit with....He'll be here maybe 2-3 years and get fired and We'll go through this coaching search carousel again hopefully without Hamilton being a part of it...I will be behind him because he is my coach and hope for the best results but needless to say I am not happy about the hire and see terrible years ahead...I hope not but it almost seems inevitable.

So, because someone like me, decided "Let me do some research before I decide", read up on him, look at his resume, and go "Dear Lord, this guy looks like a home run" it makes you bandwaggon?

People who had no clue about him and then decided he was a "home run" hours/minutes after we hired him would've claimed any hire of ours was a "home run".

It's called being a homer.

I haven't said anything about the hire until this post. I am definitely disappointed in this hire but I will obviously support this coach. If that's bandwagon than so be it.

I am also looking forward to the return of Christ. :)

Look, you put yourself in the bandwagon category, not me. Acknowledging that Pearl did a good job and saying that he "is UT basketball" are two very different things.

So no examples. The OP is a liar who is just butt-hurt because he didn't get his way with the coaching position. Good to know.

If you read my stuff, and basically I was on a ventilator when I heard Brian Gregory might be the coach, you wouldn't accuse me of being a homer.
