Bang Shootie conversation

They are freaking art.
They are history that you get to shoot.
Sometimes going to the gun store is like going to a museum where they let you play with the items on display. I figure I can’t take it with me so I might as well enjoy some things while I’m here. As you said some smoke and drink.....my Neibor spent more Friday on a bottle of rare whiskey (Bourbon) than I did on the K98.
I have very few new guns and a bunch of old. It’s my hobby
Some people don’t get it. They don’t have too.

I hope he at least gave you a shot of the bourbon

I looked and didn't find anything. Do we have a coin collecting topic somewhere?

M1903 Springfield

The squad's sharpshooter, Private Daniel Jackson (Barry Pepper), carries the sniper variant of the M1903 Springfield, the M1903A4 Sniper Rifle. The differences include the deletion of the front sight, and the addition of a scope.

Wait. What do you mean original and unaltered? It’s in gas trap configuration? If so you hit the mother of all Garands. What does the gas cylinder look like?

So far I’m going on pictures and what I’ve been told. The trailer is being delivered and the gun is being brought back to me.
I’ll be absolutely shocked if it’s original. The guy trading it too me has too many M1s. If I’m guessing it’s close to 100. This one is still in paper and gets pulled out and wiped down then put back up. I asked for a good condition pre WW2 Garand and this is what he’s sending.
It will be a week or so before my cousin gets back with it. I’ll post pics as soon as it’s here.
