Banshee

Daaaaaamn is right....

Well, Chayton officially made the war about more than just the Redbones and Proctor and effectively signed his own death warrant in the process. Hate seeing Siobhan go out like that but we all know who Hood really belongs with.

Ok, so I know just last week that I said this show isn't exactly rooted in realism but a) how in the hell did Proctor get out alive and b) where in the hell was everybody else from downstairs when Hood came up? Pretty sure that standoff could've gone a lot differently with a few more guns.

I'm fully aware that you really can't get too attached to anyone outside of the handful of main characters with this show but killing her off really sucks. And Coug, you're probably right about who he ends up with but I'm going to hate that, I can't stand Carrie.

How did Proctor make it was my biggest question.

And why did Proctor call for help? And why did Hood trust him to do so? Proctor could have let the cops and Redbones go at each other and sent Burton and some henchmen to mop up the leftovers.

He's an a**hole but apparently he's a man of his word. It would make a lot of sense to let your 2 enemies kill each other though.

I agree. Proctor does appear to have a strange sense of honor. I would have left the door open on the way out so as to ensure maximum casualties. Also, does no one live anywhere near that police station? One would think that word about a dozen wild Indians assaulting a police precinct with AKs and 50 cals would travel a little faster.

Lol you would think.

How did Proctor make it was my biggest question.

Proctor went out the basement door which was probably on the side or the back of the station with far less Redbones watching it. He's not bad with a gun so he probably took out the one or two people that were near there and just ran or found a working car. Proctor stood with Hood because Chayton was really after Proctor and Raven the whole time.

The extra people in the basement were still there you just didn't see them in that main hallway where everyone was shooting.

They made a specific point of letting you hear all of the gunfire that was going on right as he walked out the door, there was plenty of firepower going on out there.

You knew Siobhan was going to get it when she found out about Hood. Proctor is obviously an Amish Ninja. I'm with Noch, I can't stand Carrie.

Well, Siobhan came to terms with Hood lying and didn't turn him in so going forward wasn't really an issue. I knew she was dead right after she stabbed that guy through and then you see Chayton walking up behind her. That's when I knew she was dead.

What is wrong with Carrie? She's a badass just like Hood. What happened to them robbing the military base? I swear that whole plot has been completely dropped the past two episodes. No mention whatsoever.

Past history, if anyone outside of Hoods inner circle finds out, they die.

Carrie is just annoying to me. Hard to rob anything when a tribe of Indians with AK47's are trying to blow your head off. Lol

So you're thinking it's just a universe thing? "If you want to know about me I'll tell you, but you'll probably die soon after knowing by some random, completely unrelated cause."

Carrie is... annoying, that's all you got?

I'm just saying that the plot was completely dropped from those episodes. Not even any dialogue about it. It's just weird.

Yeah pretty much.

She's annoying and ugly, thats enough for me.

I might not say ugly. However, she is dangerously skinny and likely has some eating disorder. I would definitely say that, physically speaking, she does not seem worth half the trouble she has caused.

She is also a terrible person. She shows little gratitude for Hood's sacrifice. She lies to him about the diamonds and his daughter, while simultaeoualy decieving her husband as to Deva's parentage. She appears to lie to Hood because she wants Hood to leave so Rabbit doesn't find her and her family. However, I believe this to be a pretext. She wants Hood to leave so she can keep the diamonds/money for herself. If she gave proper attention to not being found by Rabbit, she should have moved much further away from his base of operations. As in, at least, across the Mississippi River. So, she is also relatively incompetent. Finally, she is critical of Hood assuming the identity of a cop, while she is living with the District Attorney under a falsified identity. Hypocrisy. To conclude, she has few redeeming qualities.

Have you watched the show from the first episode? What you're saying tells me either you're not caught up to the latest episode or you've missed a LOT of info along the way.

Just in case you aren't caught up, spoiler alert...

Rabbit was Carrie's biological father and a mobster.
Carrie didn't set up Hood, Rabbit did because he felt Hood wasn't worthy of her and she didn't know anything about it.
Despite threatening them, Deva and her little brother were Rabbit's grandkids.
The diamonds weren't even real.
They both escaped the diamond heist but he sacrificed himself to free her the same night.
They hunted down and killed Rabbit last season. Technically they let him shoot himself.

I am up to date. Nothing in the spoiler alert changes the facts as stated above. I never alleged that she had anything to do with the set up. She just wasn't sufficiently grateful that he led the cops away and sacrificed 15 years of his life. Still isn't if you ask me. Maybe I missed something, but she didn't initially know the diamonds were fake and, in any case, lied to him and said they were stolen fom her in a failed attempt to fence them. She also lied about the parentage of his own daughter. He had to figure that out himself, as did the DA. Don't get me wrong, the show wouldn't be as good without her and the storyline that comes with her, but she still sucks. Hood can do better.

Now that I recall, the DA didn't figure it out. She told him that . . . approx. 15 years later than she should have.

I think what we love so much about Banshee is that in any other show Lucas Hood would be the bad guy thief that we'd hope the cops eventually caught. Somehow though the writers have not only managed to make the show epic entertainment but gotten us to cheer for the morally corrupt Hood and his crew. It's the not as often seen broken hero story.

I get that "it was personal" and all that but Hood is just a dumbass of epic proportions. I knew it wasn't going to happen already at this point of the season so I'm not surprised but that was still just stupid as hell.

And damnit that Siobhan scene at the end just makes me even more pissed off about her being killed.

Seriously though, you don't think it would have been completely anticlimactic if he just shot him in the head while he was sleeping?

Plus, the irony in the scene with the reservation cop when he yells at her asking her why she didn't just shoot him was classic.

I'm honestly not that upset with Siobhan dying because when you really look back and think about it there wasn't much to her character on the show. She was his **** buddy and just an average cop at the end of the day.

For the sake of the show, I knew that he wasn't going to be able to actually kill him then and there but I just wish they could have created a better story line as to why he couldn't other than just because he wanted him to suffer. In a perfect scenario I'm sure Hood would have loved to have had time to torture him before killing him but he knew they were sneaking in just ahead of the FBI and they had no time to drag the situation out. If they weren't going to kill him off then and there, I just wish they would have had something happen to where Hood didn't get the opportunity, not because he had a shot and didn't take it.

As for Siobhan, I think it just boils down to the fact that she is one of the few true innocent bystanders in everything that was going on.
