Could be relevant because the birth certificate released in April, 2011 has been shown to be false.

It is alleged to be false. I am not an expert on type-sets. As for the name of the Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital, where are you getting your information that this was not the name of the Hospital in 1961?

You might start with the hospital's website.

Will be interesting if Hawaii responds to Arizona concerning their request for verification of Hawaii having possession of the document. If they respond in the affirmative could they be forced to send Arizona a copy?

Something is amiss with this President. If it weren't his entire history wouldn't be sealed.

You might start with the hospital's website.

It says nothing about it on the website (http://www.kapiolani.org/women-and-children/about-us/default.aspx); however, there are claims all over the internet that the name became Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital in the 1930s. There are also other birth certificates from the same year which possess the same hospital name.

Arizona cannot force Hawaii to do anything; further, I do not know that the State of Hawaii can release Obama's birth certificate without his consent. And, well, Obama will simply state, once more, that it has been released; or, he will have it released, and the birthers will scream that he had his hand in tinkering this one, too.

Something is amiss with this President. If it weren't his entire history wouldn't be sealed.

Maybe he does not want people reading what he wrote in college. I sure as hell would not want to have to answer questions in ten years for things I wrote in the Daily Beacon.

I imagine most people who write the opinion columns now will be looking for name changes to distance themselves from their Beacon work.

He wrote that, himself?

Or is thus akin to Ron Paul's newsletter?

You know, the one the right said he got a pass on because he didn't know what was in it?

(ps. I said I didn't blame rp for what was in it. Yet you tools try to assign to Obama this "bio.")

Hawaii resists releasing birth certificate to Arizona:

Hawaii responds to Bennett's Obama birth records request

Given that the certificate has already been released to the entire world via internet PDF why would the release of a legally certified copy still be resisted?

If you publicly release you health records and health information, does that mean that your doctors are entitled to release that information as well, without your explicit consent?

So, if you release your medical records on the internet, your doctor can hand them out without your explicit consent? Same with transcripts; I can post my transcripts online, it does not mean that the university will release them to anyone who asks.

speaking of transcripts, I kind of wish Obama would release his, for some reason they've been sealed up tighter than Nancy Pelosi's facelift.

I am not saying the act of putting them on the internet is implied consent. I am saying why would not Obama pick up the phone and say to Hawaii "release my birth certificate to those idiots in Arizona and anybody else that wants a copy".

Maybe, just maybe, because he has already released his birth certificate to the entire world? Maybe he understands that if he did that, thousands of birthers would be placing birth certificate requests with Hawaii, hampering their ability to focus on more important things?

Why do they matter?

curiosity mostly, we know what kind of student W was, the same can be said for Kerry, Gore, and Clinton. All we know about BO's school years was that he snorted a lot of cocaine, dated white girls, and hung out with the campus marxists

Mr. President, some of your constituents are worried that your bill is simply the first step toward legalizing the sodomy of human corpses. Compounding their worry is this excerpt from a blog you wrote in 2012...

Providing copies of birth certificates and other vital records is a profit center for states. Hawaii can print off a pile of several thousand, hire a temp to mail them, and rake in the money.

Or Obama can limit his authorization for release to any Secretary of State that requests one.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe it is already legal in most states. Less than half the states have laws against necrophilia and for most of those states it is only a misdemeanor.

I'm not an attorney, but if they say they have it can they be forced to produce it under the Freedom of Information Act?

Do you actually believe that? If so, I understand your concern about your earlier actions. BTW, you're not running for President, are you?

I am not an attorney, either, and I could not tell you if birth certificates, of living individuals, can be procured under the FOIA.

Do you actually believe that?

I think it is a plausible explanation. The things he wrote in Dreams From My Father are pretty radical; I imagine that he also wrote some pretty radical essays in college and in law school that he does not want to have to defend.

The plot thickens:

Hawaii Five-O: Sheriff Joe sends detectives to Honolulu

In a major development in his probe of Barack Obama’s eligibility for Arizona’s 2012 presidential ballot, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has dispatched his lead Cold Case Posse investigator and a deputy detective to Hawaii.

The mission to Obama’s purported birthplace comes as the Hawaii Department of Health continues to resist efforts by Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett to verify that the Honolulu agency has a valid birth certificate on file for Obama.
