Had he been feeling snarky, Chaz might have responded to Rick that he also wasn't achieving the results he was being paid to achieve, i.e. getting his team to the Final Four (and beyond), something several other coaches in Barnes' pay range (and below) have managed to do. Exceptional pay demands exceptional results.

Players not doing their job 100% every second must be called out. That's what they are now getting paid to do. Coaches don't execute the plays for them. Play the game or leave.

Players need to toughen up mentally and physically. Leave it all on the floor every night or find another sport. No excuses or blame.
Call them out for poor performance. No need pussy footing around.

Let's give it the old Tennessee way "Fire the coach" Tennessee has always found ways to choke. I am 76 years old and since 1967 I have experienced these type of games. Fans expectations of who we really are is way over the top..Enjoy a successful season and move on. It's going to happed every year.

Not sure that is what Chaz needs to hear right now. It's Barnes job to figure out how to get him focused and shooting like he was pre-conference.

Did you just say that no coach has ever brought up a players effort as compared to what they are paid? Were you held captive in a basement for the last 40 years and just found the internet? Coaches call out players all the time, some more than others

Very fair criticism of Barnes and I suspect the unselfish player mantra might make some players a little timid during in opportune moments but Barnes isn’t the first coach to preach that concept
