If we continue to falter in basketball, I got nothing left until baseball starts up........we seem to be getting worse by the game......Bailey and Fulk look as if they are going through the motions....our offense is stagnant....even if we get an invitation to the big dance we will be out the door at the end of the first song

We need to force tempo with more on the ball pressure to create more possessions. We were getting high percentage looks tonight. Either you can make an open shot or you can't. I have a hard time blaming Barnes for this performance. We just can't shoot the damn ball.
...won't shoot the damn ball. fify

I'll check you up at the bb threads. Only game I ever seriously coached.

Remember how well Fulkerson played against Kentucky in Rupp near the end of last season? Where has his game gone?

I do not understand why Bailey isn't playing more? He was the leading scorer and one of the few guys on the team who can hit a shot outside! Vescovi is shooting bricks and and Springer hasn't even shot one! Defense can only take you so far.
Because he’s been a turnover machine and defensive liability as of late along with his shot not falling. He has to be lighting it up on offense to overcome the rest of his deficiencies. Hope he hits a hot streak again soon as we need some more scoring

I heard or read somebody suggest that Bailey should start rather than come off of the bench. I don’t disagree. He looked better when he was starting. He hasn’t earned it though if that matters.

I thought he might bolt to the Association as well as he played at the end of the abbreviated season........now he couldn't be team manager in the NBA.....absolutely no development year over year....if anything he's regressed

We are a long ways away from being a final 4 team with this terrible offense. We are 14 games in and it's literally declining. We'll be lucky to finish as a top 6 team in SEC when it's all said and done. Very underwhelming and depressing. I had high hopes for this team before the season started but that is completely gone. Can't wait to hear the excuses....if there are any
Why are you so glee about hearing excuses?

We obviously are in a terrible slump offensively. Not sure there is any cure except to keep grinding.

Really? He was nowhere near good enough at any point to play in the NBA.

He's playing hurt.

Not aware of his injury......that explains some of his inconsistent play.....maybe he should sit until he heals. He's really not helping us very much. I realize he doesn't have the body required to play in the Association, but I thought his play last year was exceptional, and now he is hardly a shadow of his former self. The only way he gets to the NBA now is as a fan with a ticket!!

If you think Fully playing through injury is less effective than healthy Anosike or ON then I’d have to question whether you’ve watched the games

Hot trash? The overreactions are interesting, yours included. Tennessee has the same record (11-3) as Texas, who's ranked 5th. Injuries have clipped our wings a bit, but this team is talented and has played poorly for a few games. Name any team that doesn't have a rough spell in the course of a season. It happens to the best of teams. Use a little perspective and common sense, and you might come to a different conclusion once the season plays out in full.
