For my part Id rather the man who bested the Babes HR numbers to a be a man of character, not just athletic ability albeit enhanced at that, a self important mouthy prima donna just doesnt wow me personally. Perhaps I speak for the boss and possibly others?

I'm still of ashamed of MLB for not taking care of the steroid problem when it arises. As a baseball purist, I would hate to see Aaron's record broken by Bonds. But at the same time it would be a lesson to MLB for not catching these clowns when they were dirty. They didn't catch the players, they have to live with their sport having tainted records.

While I could care less about this record or MLB as a whole, I don't really understand what all the fuss is about when it comes to him using steroids.

The way I see it, an athlete's body is nothing more than sports equipment. They are always coming out with new and improved equipment to improve the performance in any sport, why should the body be any different.

I agree with the sentiment, but it's Bud Selig's fault for not catching Bonds or any of the other guys on roids. He's going to have to live with the consequences. I think it's wrong to ban somebody for something they did years ago. If Bonds got caught roided up NOW then you'd have a case, but for something that still legally has not been proven, that happened years ago? Ain't happenin'.

The whole outrage at Barry Bonds is to me pretty silly. If Bonds was a likable guy who smiled at the right time, I doubt there would be near the firestorm.

I don't hate him... I just don't care about him. That's my deal. I don't single him out for steroid usage. Who knows how many players were juiced?
