I think Reese can be a good player but I wouldn't mind possibly seeing him redshirt this season. You know he was a Top 250 player (Not 150 I know thats a measuring stick) out of HS and was a really good rebounder and can step out and shoot the 3. I would just think UT might redshirt him this year if they could. What does everyone else think on that?
Reese will be better as well not having to play with Hall and Trae on the floor. You guys don't give labrum surgery and d1 physical basketball any merit whatsoever either.
No player can be called on every so often to make shots in must make situations. His year to be successful with a lot of pt will be next year.
I get the injury issue last year, but from all accounts he's not looking any better this year. He's currently about 12th on our bench, and likely to see a decline in minutes this'n year.
Have you seen Reese play? Just because he got beat out by a talented freshmen doesn't matter.. Moore's a good basketball player and he got beat out by a true PF. Reese is still a sophomore, some players spark their junior/senior yearI get the injury issue last year, but from all accounts he's not looking any better this year. He's behind Stokes, Maymon, JRich and Mcrae? He's a tweener 3 and 4. Who else passed him on the depth chart? I haven't even looked at it that closely. Problem is right now, imo, that he was brought in to spot up shoot, but with his size, we need him down low and he's not a down low player.
Like I said, he's a tweener. Davis is a low post kid and Moore is a former pg that takes it hard to the rim. Reese is a spot up shooter and decent passer that can get a couple of rebounds. He's a role player. Moore has his role and Davis has his.
Remember the days when players played all four years? You can still develop into a better player.
