Personally, it makes sense to me that Grant would consider us. We are the closest SEC school to him and we have a great need for linebackers.

I can't speak for LV, but I spoke with someone today who works in the football office - pretty high up - and they had no knowledge of the situation.

I then asked if that statement is the truth or if it was the stance the AD is taking...

His response and I quote..."the latter"

So it does appear there is something to this... to what extent I don't know. I couldn't get any more info.

I talked to my mother who played in the marching band for UT in the 80s and she had no idea what I was talking about. In other words this could have smoke or it couldn't. o_O tifwiw.

I heard this rumor late last week but thought it was just another rumor, and then Basilio made this mystery announcement so I thought maybe plausible. Now if you add to what Grif said on Packer's show about grif thinks, "there will be some changes" on the coaching staff on the D side of the ball can we add 2+2 and get a *5 star player from LSU if there is a coaching change??? Now the rumor grows...That is a quote from Grif..:whistling:

although quite entertaining.....the big fish is committed elsewhere....seems like they would be a hard pull anyway....B U T.....there are coaches that will pull schollies if commits travel.....any of these names match with such coaches

In passing during a the packer show Griff made the comment that he didn't think "all the D coaches were on the same page". Griff, "Don't be suprised if there wasn't a change".. That's all he said and not one person asked him about it. But the way he was refrencing it like it was position coach not the head DC. The question is did DC hire the entire D staff?

Griff doesn't know what he is talking about. Who goes where? Coach Joseph isn't going anywhere, Coach Smith isn't going anywhere, and Coach Thompson isn't going anywhere unless he becomes a DC.
