I always thought Richardson already had a pretty decent jump shot on him. If it has improved like being reported, hopefully he has also been able to do the same with his all around offensive game. Given all our options heading into the start of a game, Martin's first choice will never be Richardson as the primary scorer. He will be relied on to produce points when McRae is being shut down and having a bad night. In the games he is asked to step up, maybe he has improved enough to be capable of giving us 13-15 points on a regular basis. That kind of play from him would take our offense to a new level.
With so many weapons at our disposal, we should be able to run some seriously up-tempo basketball and wear some teams down. I know we want to feed the bruisers, but that can be accomplished in a fast paced game, imo.
I think we can play two different paces. Maymon and Stokes will need breathers. Go small with Reese or Davis at the 5 and just run. I think it will benefit us. We were in great shape last season. Stokes was just getting tired from having two and three people on him.
Good points. Not sure teams will want to throw two and three at Stokes this year, though. One inside out dish and they're done for the trip. Provided Stokes and Maymon can distribute, I think the ganging of the bruisers will be limited. jmo, though.
You're right. It would be a mistake to double them. Mcrae's confidence is through the roof right now and Barton can shoot. I think we will have some problems that others would dream to have. (I.e. Richardson or Hubbs coming off the bench)
