That is something I've thought about a lot. I really love his offense. If we ever move on from Dooley, I hope we at least give Holgorsen some serious consideration.

The 2 concerns I have are how well the offense would do when faced with an elite SEC defense and how well he would recruit. If he could get a great defensive staff and some elite recruiters, I think Holgorsen could have a lot of success at an SEC school.

Match elite defensive players with elite offensive players and the scheme should succeed just fine. I don't get the line of thinking that only pro-style, smash mouth offenses can be successful in this conference.
