ESPN gets their recruiting news from me, I get my news from the smoke signals of an old indian that lives right across the property line, he gets his info from the spirits who in turn get theirs from Miss Cleo.......

Man, what a difference a few years makes. I'm going to do my best to avoid getting my hopes up, but the fact that we're in the running for a player like Selby, in addition to the other guys we've got signed, is fantastic. We're not a basketball powerhouse quite yet, but Tennessee is certainly on the minds of many of the top players across the nation. I love it!

That was before I talked to the guy hes said that there are even rumors on UT's campus that Selby is gonna be a Vol

Too much drama. I'll believe he's a Vol when I see it. Not that I don't trust the source, but I could see the kid flipping his decision.

also I dont know about rumors on campus(note that people are saying RUMORS), but I question why this twitter guy is a reliable source. it seems to me as if its just one more person stating their opinion about the situation. did he talk to selby? prob not.

Jay Williams (ESPN analyst) is at the McDonald's All-American event this week covering. So, it is very possible that he has heard something in Columbus from Selby or others that indicate that Selby has gone back to the Vols. I don't think he would stake his reputation on a "hunch." Much easier just to not post anything about Selby on his twitter account than to make bold predictions. The "news" that Selby will reveal his choice at the Jordan Brand game on April 17th is old. That was release a week ago. The only thing new in his twitter post was the prediction of Tennessee.

We shall see. My only concern is that Selby is announcing his decision at a Nike sponsored (Jordan Brand...as in Michael Jordan) all-star event.:jpshakehead:

Forbes is the key in Selby's recruitment. Think about it. We hear that Selby has recommitted to Tennessee the moment after Iowa hires a coach. Maybe Selby and his mom were waiting to see if Forbes would go to Iowa. Just a thought...

I will believe it when I see it confirmed.I hope its true though.
Did anybody watch the dunk contest and the kid that signed with Mempuss and missed ever dunk he attempted.

If he isn't coming to UT I think it'll be Kansas.
Nike has nothing to do with it. Both schools are Adidas .

KU fan here, I come in peace after my UT buddy told me to come check out the rumors. Don't know if you all had a chance to see TheShiver's coverage but they've been all over the McD event.

Here's the Selby interview from yesterday: Josh Selby at McDonald’s All American Media Day | The Shiver, Kansas Jayhawks Sports, Kansas Basketball, Kansas Football & then there's plenty more interviews with the recruits on the videos tab up top.

I would guess that it's down to KU and UT as you all have made a late push. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. There was a poster here that wondered why this rumor wasn't more "mainstream" and I'd have to agree. I hadn't heard it but maybe that's just because my ear's to the KU ground.
