BCS National Championship

If Malzahn can recruit and get good talent, he's going to be tough to beat in the coming years. FSU had more talent and Auburn still almost pulled it off. Swap rosters and it might be a blowout.

He's going to have to have the almost exactly right fit QB for that system each season though.

Hilarious, you tell me to grow up and you're the one trash talking guys who've accomplished more than you'll ever accomplish athletically, all because they don't fit your definition of "successful".

Not to mention you sounded like a jaded 12 year old in your whining.

Haha. I'll let the AP journalists know they can never write anything negative in their work because they'll never accomplish the same as Jason White. It's not an argument of me vs them. It's them versus the best in their business. It's Leinart vs Adrian Peterson. It's Weinke vs LT or Drew Brees. It's the Troy Smiths and Ron Daynes. I could continue but I think I've made my point.

His speech/interviews have increasingly gotten worse as the season has gone on. His Heisman speech, if you can call it that, was almost unbearable.

At least he is not a spoiled, little classless piece of **** like Manziel. Winston seems to be a pretty cool, humble dude.

Fake punt is the big * that changed the entire game. And Gus going to soft, let them catch it and make the tackle d on the last drive wasn't a good move.

I would love to have Winston as our QB I don't care how he talks he is a heck of a player!!

How many of you hate it when people judge Southerners and their intellect based on their dialect?

Just because Winston doesn't sound incredibly articulate means zero in the grand scheme of things.

it was the lack of being able to form a sentence that the world could even understand. i like Jameis but you gotta admit those interviews were brutal. hes on top of the sports world right now so it doesnt really matter.

Jimbo, Sanders, and Sunseri had so much talent this year that even they couldn't find a way to screw it up. Most talented college team since '01-2 Miami.

That's pretty large praise. The USC team's in '04 and '05 (which YOUR boy did manage to screw up) were incredibly talented, 2 Heisman winners in the same backfield is pretty damn good. Not to mention the NCAA all-time leader in TD's with Lendale "Lazy" White.

It's debatable but I'd probably agree. Winston, Greene, Benjamin, Joyner, Jernnigan and Goldman are sure fire NFL draft picks and O'Leary, Hart, Christian Jones, Telvin Smith are likely too. I can see 10-12 guys off this team ending up in the league.

He seems to be a lot more coherent in the actual press conference thats on now. Maybe just chalk it up to the emotion of the moment and giving an interview less than a minute after the game ended.

Agree 100%. I have zero respect for JM. My thing with Winston is he's seemed to regress in his speaking, which shows he can speak better than what he's "choosing" to. Listening to him after the Clemson game I was thoroughly impressed with his composure, maturity, enunciation etc especially for a such a young player and that's not there anymore, it's turned into a lesson in Ebonics.

He just won an NC. He is out of breath. He's barely 20.

He seemed fine the rest of the night .

Point being, don't judge on speech. Guy was a 4.0 GPA HS student. He 's not a brick.

I've known some star HS athletes who've earned at or near 4.0 GPAs without being the sharpest tool in the shed. Doesn't mean a whole lot.
