Bama drops to 5 in the BCS
Buckeyes could easily get beat by A good MSU team.
The off chance that Cut and Duke beat FSU
Bama plays the winner of the SECCG.

If OSU and FSU win their conference games, they're pretty much automatic, right? I know that the SEC champ will have a killer resume, but this is the BCS...1 loss kills.

FSU is automatic...OSU is probable but not certain. If Auburn wins the SECCG, that'll be wins over the #1 and #4 teams in the country in back-to-back wins. I know they're one-loss, but when you combine that with wins over Texas A&M and Georgia, it might be enough for them to leapfrog.

Whats the chances a 1 loss SEC team gets in over an undefeated Ohio State team? I think that would be hilarious.

Oh God, could you imagine how bitter OOC fans would be? I could maybe see myself doing the whole SEC pride thing since it's not Bama of Florida this time.

Still saying this: FSU wins, OSU loses, FSU-Auburn title game, all of the points

hopefully it goes that way - OSU should lose to a computer since the dimwit AP writers are so in love with them. Hopefully Sparty beats them anyway.

What's the BCS ranking look like Monday?

What if Auburn loses, FSU loses, OSU loses. Those teams should get passed by a one loss Mizzou.

But would a one loss Bama vs a one loss Mizzou be tough to decide?

And could Mizzou get absolutely robbed and somehow miss out?

I honestly don't know. This is where I'd love to some kind of playoff. So many good teams with losses to other top teams.

This is why I hate the BCS. Losing really late in the season screws you so badly.

Amen. Better losing early than late. That's why I cracked up so hard at the Georgia fans freaking out at the Clemson loss in the season opener.

They ended up not mattering, but that loss really wouldn't have been a huge deal if they were relevant down the stretch. They still would have had every shot to win the SEC.

That's the fault of the 2 human poll's fault more than anything else, and that has really always been the case. The problem there is they pretty much rank with only a memory length of only about the current week and the one before it.

If you hate something about this system, that's where it should be directed.

The winner of the SEC championship will be 3rd if everyone else wins. IF OSU or FSU lose SEC champ moves into the title game. That's the only way they get in in my opinion. I just hope nothing too crazy happens and Bama backs into the BCS championship again without winning their division in the conference

My biggest issue with the human polls is that they are fundamentally flawed because preseason rankings factor into where a team is placed throughout the season.

A team that is overrated in the preseason and goes on to lose games will hang around in the top 25 for longer, ultimately finishing higher than they otherwise would have.

It's obvious (at least to me) that a one loss Mizzou is weaker than a one loss Bama. But because Bama lost so late, they are automatically moved down.

Similarly, if Mizzou loses along with FSU and OSU...then Auburn is obviously in. But how do you decide between OSU/FSU/Bama? BCS would say Bama. But I'm not so sure.

If that happens, it'd probably be Alabama. They'd be the best one-loss team. Can you imagine that? An Alabama/Auburn BCSCG?
