Be careful in those garden centers

Buddy of mine got up one morning about 3am to use the bathroom. A water moccasin was next to the toilet. He retrieved his shot gun and blew a whole in the floor trying to kill it.

I killed one once while mowing a state park. The Arkansas game and fish officer watched me do it. Told me after the fact I could be ticketed for it. You are not allowed to kill any poisonous snakes in the state.

I could be related to your friend. That's exactly what I would have done.

You guys haven't lived until you've been in a snake handling church! One of my life long best friends back home is a die hard snake handler! Every time I go see him he takes be to his shop where he has rattle snakes and copperheads. I went with him once years ago, it was different to say the least.

We were night riding one night a few years ago. Something caught my attention.

A solid white rattlesnake. It wasn't but about 2 foot long but I had never seen one before or since.

For some reason I just had a strange vision of Tawny Kitaen rolling around on the hood of KITT.

Most of the time here in my area of west Knoxville it's just a rat snake but when it comes to snakes I just don't go near them.

A few years ago I took the kids camping. While there, we packed up some chairs and lunch to go to a nearby lake. When we got there, everyone took off leaving me to unpack the chairs etc. I throw one of them on the ground and a snake pops out hisses at me and takes off. I can't imagine what would've happened if it did that in the car.

that would freak me out

Don't forget.......if you live in TN.... (stupidest law ever) it is illegal to kill any snake in this state. I dunno about NC where this incident occurred.

What?! I suddenly can't read what you're saying, it's all garbled.

That would freak me out beyond repair. There's no way I could knowingly walk into a place with that many snakes....I would be worse than Will Ferrell in the Campaign.

Had a similar thing happen with me but with a large gecko, not a snake. Was taking my wife and daughters to the beach and suddenly in the middle of the drive, panic erupted in the back seat and I had to pull over. The gecko had popped out of one of the folding chairs and was scrambling in the back of our minivan. Of course they are harmless but neither my daughters nor my wife would get back into the car until I managed to sweep out the lizard!!
