Be Honest. Do You See Three More Wins This Year?

its possible but I think difficult to accomplish. I was 5-7 pre-season and haven't seen anything yet to change that prediction..

Preseason I said the same and the board wanted my head on a platter for being so negative...

I see Kentucky being a win and...Auburn or Vandy maybe? 5 win's will be tough. Hopefully my pessimism can be proven wrong.

It will be tough to get the wins we need to get to a bowl but I can see it happening.

I wouldn't be shocked to see us go 8-4 nor would I be shocked to see us go 4-8.

If we are in a tight game in the 4th quarter I think we beat SC. If we beat them I think that will give this team confidence and will help moving forward.

I think Alabama is a loss but you never know. That's why they play the games.

Missouri without Franklin should be a good road win but we have a history of making a second string qb look amazing. I still think we beat them.

Auburn is better than expected. Toss up game but being at home helps a lot.

Candy. I think we get a tough game from them but over power them in the 4th for a solid win.

Kentucky is just bad. Win.

So like I said 4-8 to 8-4 is possible. 7-5 is likely. As long as we hit 6-6 ill be content.

I dont see three more, but Im not entirely basing my feelings on the program this year on wins (sounds crazy I know). Just want to see a lot of progression and signs great improvement.

Isnt Franklin out for Mizzou? Thats big, guys. We can beat UK and Vandy, and we have a decent shot at AU and Miz. 3 more this year? Sure we can! I still think 6 or 7 W's is legit...including a bowl against a pizz poor big 10 team or the like.

i did before the season. i don't now.

another thing to keep in mind is for missouri, vandy, and kentucky.....tennessee may be their game of the year.

they'll be pumped up and excited to try to beat tennessee. will tennessee be emotionally jacked up to play mizzou or kentucky?

i don't know.

Vandy and UK...sure but Missouri? LOL! I think so far uga is their "game of the year" and after tomorrow it may well be y'all. :)

If they win tomorrow yes. If not, probably not. Problem is, other than Ky game, there are just no teams you can near or 100% be sure they win. Every game will more than likely be a struggle.

Yes.

We beat vandy and UK handily. Vandy will be by far the tougher of the two, but I have said all along that Jones is a good enough coach to beat VANDY no matter how good they think they are.

As for the rest...obviously this weekend and bammer are very tough games. We likely lose both, though I will be rooting very hard this weekend and next.

As for Auburn....I don't see why not. We will learn a bit more about them this week though. They have really only played one tough team to date and got skunked. They had the advantage of playing both the Mississippi schools at home. I happen to think we are on par with the Mississippi schools at this point in time. This is NOT where we want to be, but it "is where we are". Auburn only narrowly defeated those two at home. I say we take em.

Finally, I think Missouri is vulnerable without Franklin, but we will learn a whole lot more about that tomorrow when they challenge the no. 4 scoring D in the country (although one that is a bit beat up).

I don't see how you can call Auburn a definite win.

Agree...I think we can win against UK and Vandy. Then we need to win 1 of the other games; Mizzou, SC, Bama, AU. Im thinking mizzou is the game, but it would not shock me if we took AU. Auburn has been a little inconsistent on both sides of the ball, kinda like UT.

If we can win tomorrow, I think we get six wins easy.

If we don't, getting six wins may hinge on two home games....Auburn and Vanderbilt. I think Mizzou may be too good, even without James Franklin, to take at Columbia.

No sense in moping over this...this thread shows the strum und drang of this board (and many like it) with regard to optimism or negativity.

Not really, no.

Before the season I predicted either 6-6 or 7-5. However I didn't expect our QB play to be as bad as it has been. I thought Worely would develop much faster than what he has. I also expected or WR's to be further along at this point than what they are. Defensively we are right about where I thought we'd be. Improved over last year but not amazing.
