I think we go 4-0 in November. I'm going to the Auburn game with my gf and she's a huge Auburn fan. I'm gonna rub it in a little when we get the victory.

I do think, without being blindly optimistic, that our game against USA was the trap game, before Georgia after Florida.

Problem is, we aren't good enough to cruise through trap games. Oregon is good, period. Florida isn't great but Peterman's first half gave them the game.

We looked pretty bad Saturday, but honestly I think we are better than we looked. Will we get smoked Saturday? Probably...

But if Butch Jones is a good coach we will continue to improve and at least win 5, and hopefully 6.

Just not sure who numbers 5 and 6 are...

From what i've seen a win against Kentucky could be our only other win this year. I really can't believe that some on here think we can beat the game cocks . Hope I am wrong.

There is no doubt that I have some concerns. The problem that I have is that neither UGA nor Bama will provide much of an opportunity to show the fans much progress, even if progress abounds.

So let me get this straight. Because of one bad half against a team that our team lost focus against after taking a 24-point lead, suddenly our season is completely off the rails?

You assume we're going to play every half the rest of the year as bad as the second half yesterday? Is this real or am I on an espisode of Message Board Punk'd?

Let's just call the the next 7 teams and tell them they win and get ready for next year maybe we can win 6 then.... Sounds crazy I know but that about the odds most people in here are giving us... I have never seen so much "quit" in a fan base I know everything hasn't gone our way but dang if you're going to call your self a fan then at least cheer for your team and rout for them to win not count them out of a game that hasn't been played yet... I know the odds are against us but no team is unbeatable and if they can play as a team and make less mistakes the the other team we have a chance... So please stop bashing my vols and being so negative!!! One more thing that has bothered me over the past few years and a lot this past Saturday is our "fans" booing the players that's is the most unsportsman like conduct I have ever seen and if anyone thinks that encourages players to play better you're insane. Support our coach/coaches and Vols! Let's make rocky top truly rock Saturday!!! Go VOLS!!!

Some of y'all really, really, REALLY need to learn this little thing called "faith". I have faith in this team and always will. Some of y'all seem to think that CBJ is s'posed to come in here, install a brand-new system with players not recruited for that system, yet still win 10 ****games. Be for real, folks. Will we get to six wins?? Yes. Vandy, Mizzou, and Kentucky. I wouldn't be TOO surprised if we knocked off Awful-barn. THAT'S faith in this team, ladies and gentlemen. Some of y'all are ready to just ****-can this season already by the sounds of it, which is utterly ******* ridiculous.

No honestly do not see 3 more wins but if we steadily improve then we may have a chance.

I honestly believe the team started looking ahead to Georgia after going up 31-7 and then mistakes started happening, unfortunately that diminished a good 2 and a half quarters of football. They do not have the talent right now to look past anyone, if you think about it is hard for any team to over look anyone and not get upset or nearly upset.

Im not trying to make excuses as a lot of people say but you see more and more upsets and near upsets every year hell its just about every week now.

Eastern Washington beat Oregon State.
North Dakota State beat Kansas State..
Towson beat UConn.

So upsets happen glad to escape with a win.

Yes. We beat UK, Vandy and Mizzou. Vandy has struggled with UMASS and recently with UAB (until the 4th quarter). I am not sold on Mizzou, now that could change after seeing them play some SEC teams. We have a decent shot at beating USc as long as Shaw is injured.

Unfortunately you need to have a QB with any philosophy...we just don't have one. All teams have to do is stack the box and make Worley beat them. That will be true in any system. Not really buying the system change argument.

I still see 6-6. But that's the limit...get there and I'll be okay with this season.

"realistic" seems to be the new catch word around here for "I'mma pull an opinion out of my *** that way I can be all like ha ha ha told you so if it happens". You call it realistic, I call it foolish. My realism is this: We can win any.....ANY game on our schedule, right up until the point where the game clock reads 00:00 and the other team has more points than we do.

I have watched Auburn, Vandy, Missou, and Kentucky games this year. Honestly, I think we compete with all 4 of these teams.

Do we win 3? I'm going to say yes.

KY should be a win.
Vandy - NO
Auburn - 50/50 chance of winning
MIZZ - probably not
ALA, SC, GA - no way

The passing game needs to improve significantly before we have a shot at winning 3 more.

That being said, we have some very green receivers who in normal circumstances would be 2nd or 3rd string and learning the little things from the veterans ahead of them. They are being thrown into the fire and will improve with more game reps. I'm sure some of them haven't even fully adjusted to the speed of the game at the college level. There will be improvement, but how much and how quickly remains to be seen.

Of course, there's also the Worley component to the passing game. While he's had his fair share of miscues, it's not all on him. There have been multiple drops by receivers over the course of the season so far on very catchable, if not routine, passes (Josh Smith comes to mind).

Worley needs to show more poise in the pocket and deliver the ball on time, on balance, and with confidence. He doesn't look very confident delivering the ball, which seemingly results in a floater and the illusion that he has a wet noodle for a throwing arm. When everything comes together, I've seen him throw the ball with some very good velocity. Not Bray, mind you, but certainly enough to get the job done. I'm hoping this is a byproduct of the QB and WRs not always being on the same page with timing and route running instead of simply an intrinsic property of Worley. The first circumstance will fix itself as they get more comfortable with each other and the offense. The second is not so easy to fix.

Just my observations. Could be wrong, of course.
