Diamond is so messed up in the head because of CHW it would be a good thing for her mental health to get away from Tennessee and Holly.

GoLadyVols!:)

There were several disgusting statements in your post, but you need the living hell stomped out of you for this one. Who the hell do you think you are? Quite frankly, I think you sound "messed up in the head" with your constant need to turn every thread into a Holly hate thread. It's like you're obsessed. Do you not have anything else in your life? Are you a behavioral health professional to make such a statement about DD? I mean who the mother effing hell do you think you are? You're pathetic!!!

You can bet I would need to hide it if Mama was still with us. She went to heaven going on 16 years ago. 😥

Yes, these personal attacks on the girls are just not okay. I can't believe someone would have the audacity to call any of them "messed up in the head."

And believe me - I'm far from a snowflake but what I am is a vicious mama bear. And I don't like such words being said about these young women.

The anti-Holly (Hate Holly) sentiments runs so deep for some "fans" that they are actively rooting against the LVs program.

I am sure many were waiting for news that Mercedes and Diamond would transfer so they could gloat-- "see I told you so! Holly is driving our best players away." Now, they are down to rooting for Diamond to leave. And I would not be surprised that many in this crowd were thrilled when the LVs lost to Louisville - it is bad for Holly, YEAH!!!!!

And wouldn't it be great if our recruits all reneged or Jamie transferred! WhooHoo happy days!!

Conversely, for these fans, any good news for the program is treated as a bad news, since it cast a more favorable light on the CHW.

With each passing day, it is becoming undeniable that Holly will be coaching the LV's next season.

So, all the criticism of Holly's coaching shortfalls have been noted endlessly on this board. Perhaps it is time to see what transpires next year with Holly's #1 recruiting class and returners (now including two likely AA candidates in Jamie and Mercedes, with Diamond's status still undetermined).

Otherwise, it is ironically sad, that a LV fan board will be a place where so many are rooting against the LV's.

Mighty big assumptions there Mr Mad.How in hell do you know what Vol fans are thinking who believe that Holly Warlick is a very poor head coach and the program will continue on its downhill slide under her.I do not root for bad news when it comes to retaining any player or for that matter who comes in next year.Simply stated it does not make a whit what players come in next year with Holly Warlick retained at the helm.....it will be another frustrating 10+ loss season and we will be having this same discussion.Holly will be the Head coach next year so we shall all see what happens .....imo it will not be pretty....carry on.

You go girl! It's just not the players but everyone in the program is the recipient of this hateful slander and it is time for it to stop.

I have never seen anything like it in my life, Rickster...coming from a fanbase. I get the frustration... but the venemous, constant, hate filled posts over and over and and over have me questioning the metal stability of some.

Even better,
I hope Diamond stays and you leave.

The last 5 games Diamond played with fire and desire. She is an asset we can use. I see her as a plus. If our other starters had matched the intensity of Diamond, in the last 5 games, we would have had an outstanding chance of making the final four and perhaps the championship.

This is changing subject but did anyone notice we beat 3 of the 4 teams in the final 4? So how do we lose 12-13 games?

I know this has to be a hard decision for Diamond. I know she has to feel some kinda way about not even being apart of the AP all American nominees. not even 3rd team which I personally think was a slap in the face. She has been a consistent contributor to her team all yr. I would want to come back and prove that I'm one of the best.

I think it's absolutely in Diamond's best interest to go pro now if she has her degree finished up. What's the benefit in staying? Playing pro ball she can make $150-200k+ in the year she would've played as a 5th year senior, and she has a chance to be a #1 overall pick. Next year, the draft is much deeper and her stock could go either way. She also seems to be a player who enjoys the spotlight, and in the W she'll be brought up in every rookie conversation all summer, plus she'll get to play with a top point guard in Moriah Jefferson.

If she stays at Tennessee, the only logic behind it is if she thinks there's a good chance to make a Final Four or win a title. Problem is, Tennessee wasn't a top 25 team this year and even with improvements, a Final Four is going to be a massive stretch for this crew with Holly at the helm. And no one is touching Connecticut next year with the roster Geno is putting together, so I don't see any way that Tennessee realistically competes for a title unless some sort of 180 happens with Holly.

Her game is better suited for the pros and she'll have better opportunity to develop her game than she will at Tennessee.

Also, this may not be a popular opinion, but I think Tennessee will be better in the long run without her in the lineup next year. I don't think she's a toxic player, but a lot of times she doesn't seem to be in flow with her teammates and will have poor shot selection. She isn't a very good shooter and I'd rather see more shots go to Nared or Russell. Also, her body language on the court isn't great, and most of her interviews are very "'me" rather than "team." She gets harped on probably more than anyone, and a lot of it isn't deserved, but I think without her it will give players like Westbrook and Davis opportunities to play big minutes from day 1 and develop into great players early in their career.

A lineup of Russell, Nared, Davis, Cooper and Westbrook could be very very good and pave way for a positive outlook in 2018-19 and beyond.

good shooters aren't valuable in the pros?
