Beamer knows a future whoppin' is coming

When in a very unexpected beatdown loss, Beamer complains about the chain crew eating a hotdog too long to start the second half, along with the clock he says being wrong the entire game, you know he knows they have a beatdown coming at Neyland this season. Rattler and the gamecocks had only 45 yards rushing late in the game but ended up with 31 total rushing yards as he got sacked a couple of times more. Just another thing that lets Beamer know what is on his schedule.

South Carolina actually ended up with -2 yards rushing on the whole game

Here's my take starting from last year. Our Alfa-Dog (Banks) was left at home for good reason. I think half the team played at 50% as a way to show support for their guy. On the flip side Hep had to do this to get things under control but now looking back I think everything worked out and this team has a bond now that's better than any that has been on the hill. SC knows they got a gift and the drilling is coming. I'm not for running score up but get a comfortable lead. And get the 2,3, and 4's some reps( Something Spanky never done) We got a coach. A coach that a lot of folks are going to take a shot at to steal. The powers that be if smart I hope have already put things in place(money wise) that
won't let it happen. Wasn't it grand seeing Dabo looking like Shet the bed!!!!!! Go Vols.

Ratler is darn good if his head’s in the game. He’s a real schizo as a QB, so there’s no telling which version of him we get.
Against us last year, he was the best QB we faced all season. When one throws the ball that way, it is very difficult to outscore them.

Yeah, I was pretty confident last year too, and was already thinking about the playoffs.

S*** happens.

the South Carolina game may be the most rockin game this year at Neyland tied with Georgia

...until we beat Georgia and the goalposts go into the river again of course :)

Disagree, tell Nico he will be setting this one out because the starters will be in the game until the clock reads 0.00.

I don’t get this caution from some of y’all in regards to the USCjr game. You know their record in Neyland is 3-18, right? They pretty much always fold and play like trash in K-town. We are going to destroy them. And if your response is you don’t think history matters, then why do you care about last year’s outcome? This 2023 iteration of the South Carolina Lamecocks looks like a 5 or 6 win football team, to me. Maybe worse if Rattler gets injured (hope not, I do not wish that on anyone).

I think deep down they know its coming. The way their fanbase has acted since they beat us. They know its coming too. Cant wait for the "Classless" Comments after we drag them for 4 qtrs.

Heard that before last year's game, too.
Yep...I will refrain from dissing them right now after that total beatdown they gave us last year....Since the first quarter of Heupel's first game here against USC....South Carolina has outscored us. We need to crack the code they've had on us over the last 7 quarters.

I'm going to disagree. I think Bryce Young coming back from injury playing out of his mind was the best we faced all year. Without him we skull drag Bama out of Neyland. Remember he was a dropped Gibbs pass away from more than likely beating us on their last drive.

NC showed how to beat SC... get pressure on Rattler and put him on the ground every chance you get
They exposed the weak USC OL and everyone is going to bull rush those guys and be in the backfield about the same tine as the ball. NC is probably the 6th best front seven USC will face.

You are welcome to your opinion, but I think Young was the second best QB on the day we played them.
