Saw this post by CitVol on the KNS site. While I know nothing about CitVol, I thought his post was classic because all properly raised Vols since Neyland and before should despise Vanderbilt, The University of Peabody.

There has been a lot distracting these boards this week, and the hatred of the bile and dung colored peabody teachers college has been placed on the back burner. George Cafego is rolling over in his used van in his grave right now. Joe Thompson is out there somewhere with disbelief that the Vol Nation is ranting more about the coaching situation than the fact that Peabody U is favored in this game. We will beat them. They suck. Decades and decades of failure cannot be overcome. There is an immovable object of losing combined with an irressistable force of futility. Its like skunk stench and there are no tubs available to take a tomato juice bath. That odor will simply not go away."

Thank you citvol

Vanderbilt is not Peabody U. Peabody College became the College of Education at Vanderbilt, that's all. Doesn't matter what the history of the UT/Vanderbilt game is. Saturday will establish its own history. I hope the Vols play their best game against them. They will need it to beat Vandy. And this game will tell us a lot about how the players feel about Dooley. Looking forward to it.

I think we finally have enough chemistry and bonding within the team to finally go get an SEC win this season. We have the talent, just have been dealt some tough blows this season. Time for another postgame locker room celebration!!! GO VOLS!!! :)

It's a good thing candy doesn't have many fans because the few they have are more obnoxious than Florida, LSU & Alabama! They're just not noticed because there are so few of them!

I have a cousin who got his RM (Registered Murse -- Male Nurse) from Vanderbilt. I've been getting hit full force from his arrogance for months now. History and last year "matter not," just that UT sucks and Vanderbilt is better enough for him to gloat about it.

He posted on Facebook yesterday "You know UT is in trouble when their fans start de-friending you."

To which I replied "No one wants to be friends with the douche who picks on the kid with Downs."

I'm assuming you mean Brendan Downs, because he's a downright beast. So pun intended?

Well, I sincerely hope you guys are right. I just watched SEC Gridiron Live, and they unanimously picked Vandy for the win.

It's beyond painful to watch our Vols fall into insignificance. It honestly breaks my heart.

Don't forget their longstanding tradition of arriving fashionably late and departing fashionably early.

After we win come find me on Broadway, when the sidewalks roll up hotel party at the holiday inn on the same street, well until they throw us out...beginners need not apply

I hate how UT fans were throwing in the towel this entire week. Remember...

Vandy will be Vandy. Tennessee wins.

Apologies to all, but we are not beating Vandy this week. IMHO. I hope I am wrong.

I don't know man...Defense is 16th, offense is good enough to put some (or many) points on this TN defense. The only hope I have is comparing our game against GA and theirs. Kinda want to kill myself right now.

You are kidding right? Their offense is complete garbage. Their D is average. These kids will play their heart out for their fired coach. Vols by 13. Franklin will be seeking brown eye from clay to take solace from this loss. Franklin will take the first coaching upgrade and leave Vandy fans crying harder than we did when Kiffin left.

Sounds like the same thoughts I had when I carried my oldest boy to Neyland in 2005.

Joe hates Vandy as much as George did, if that is possible. I think it is worse now because of all the publicity about Franklin. Have to remember, Vandy only wins once every 24 years.
