Beckett could be the best postseason pitcher ever...

Mariano Rivera is the best ever, period. Pitchers do get beat from time to time, as will Beckett. Last night he threw 95% fastballs, primarily 4 seam, at the same velocity, and still dominated. That says something about the quality of the team dominated. The Rockies were missing hittable pitches by a foot. Hawpe struck out on home run balls. A power pitcher in the cold rain has a huge advantage, but Col looked lost. The Indians, against whom he just picked up 2 Ws, couldn't have hit me after the 3-1 lead. No pop in that lineup, aside from Hafner and Perralta, and Hafner couldn't have hit it with a Flintstone bat during that series.

I'm taking Koufax for the first 7-8 and handing it to Rivera if I have to win 1 baseball game and there's not really anyone else close.

Having Papelbon go two innings was a stupid stupid move by Francona. Doesn't he know that never works anymore? Glad it didn't work out for him tonight.

oh wait...

You probably think he's a greater postseason pitcher than Mariano Rivera now, right? I mean, he's pitched 11 whole postseason innings without giving up a run.
