Beer (and beer pics!)

many breweries here are small city types. admittedly lack the inventiveness and originality many craft breweries have. it will get better as time passes and money pours in....but as for now as southern cities go im happy.

portland is on its own island.

For Asheville to exist as a small southern city and a real beer city is a miracle.

My last visit to Denver/Ft Collins was mind blowing.

I didn't think about the insurance issue. If this doesn't come to pass I'm not too upset. I enjoy brewing and I was concerned that something like this could take the fun out of it. I just feel its wrong not to share this wonderful beer with the world. :)

Yeah, Mayday is set up in the old Swanson building. Not a good spot at all but the planner told me breweries could only operate in zone H-I.

If its meant to be something will shake loose. Im in a brewing competition in April and planning on going to the East Side Brew Festival next month.

You can just sell me some of your home brew stuff. No sales tax or excise tax issues:)

meh. ft collins? ill agree its pretty but, not sold 100%.

i really liked bozeman and missoula, not nec as beer cities.

anyway, yes ashevilles come a long way.

sierra is coming into mills river in 2014-15. and new belgium in river arts at same time.

i understand theyll be shipping hubs, but my thought is theyll do tastings and tours as done in CO.

Yes Ft Collins. I don't even like New Belgian, but between Funkwerks, Odells and Equinox is hard to beat.

If you're talking about Pyramid beer, there's a reason you and I are disagreeing on certain things. One of my least favorite breweries.

Palate Wrecker by Green Flash - OK, this pretty much wrecked my Palate. One for your hard core IPA guys

Dirty Bastard by Founders - really digging Scottish Ales but this is not that good. Beer, Pizza and Sex rule - even when it isn't that good....um... still pretty good.

Man I love our local growler place!

Glad I'm not the only person that didn't care for Dirty Bastard.

I was in Knoxville this weekend to celebrate my sister's bday and we went to Brixx for dinner. They had a pretty good selection of beers on tap. I was impressed with the amount for such a small place. Anyways, I went with Saworks Brown ale. I have had it before but I really enjoy that beer and it seems to be really consistant in taste.
