Beer (and beer pics!)

Victory Hop Wallop -- one of the best IPAs I've found: clean hops, a little citrus, a little pine. Surprisingly smooth for the ABV%. Highly recommended.

This month's featured breweries from my anniversary gift:

Sweetwater in Hotlanta and Madison River Brewing from Belgrade Montana. Excellent month, unfortunately about finished, only 12 bottles and March just started. :cray:

Exodus Porter - Sweetwater: Solid Porter. Nothing unique, what you would expect.

LowRYEder IPA - Sweetwater: Very tasty, mild to medium on the IPA scale but very good balance and flavor. Definitely would get if I see it.

Salmon FLy Honey Rye - Madison River: Bit light but not too sweet. Nice mixture of the honey and rye flavors. This was the favorite amongst the group that tried it. Very drinkable!

Hopper Pale Ale - Madison River: Mild on bitterness by normal Pale Ale standards but robust body. Rich flavor, would hit this one again if it were available around here!

Good monthly delivery just not enough.

USAF - agree the Alpine Spring is not good. Unfortunately, I don't like the Noble Pils either and I'm a Pils guy. Don't know what is wrong with me, I might be becoming more snobby.....

It's a rather hoppy pils though. I enjoy it. It's very crisp and refreshing. I'm on a wheat kick lately. Drinking a boulevard unfiltered wheat right now. Tried it in a growler a couple weeks ago and loved it. Was at the Kroger today and saw it on the shelf. They must have just broke into distribution to georgia. They are from KC, MO.

I'll check around to see if I can find it here. Definitely enjoyed your Wheat Ale. Reminded me of Alewerks Wheat Ale. They are in Williamsburg, VA. Shredding Wheat by Coast in Charleston is awesome but I have only found it once. If I stumble across it again I'll send it to you. Have you been trying Belgian Wheats or German Weizens? I find them good when I crave the Wheat.

Coming out of a Scotch Ale phase, kinda leaning towards hoppier stuff. Right now I'm savoring the last of the Winter Ales and Lagers. Love Highland Breweries Cold Mountain Winter Ale and No Da's Cold Crash is good as well.

Been drinking some German wheats and some good ole American wheat. Love the weihenstephaner dunkel. Some good dark wheat.

Wasn't a fan of Latitude 48 IPA or Whitewater IPA by Sam Adams. I did like the Noble Pils.

The Alpine Spring wasn't bad either.

The new (first time I have seen it here) Killian's Irish Stout is good for the price.

Adam Bomb IPA from Blackstone, out of Nashville. Not bad at all, especially for an in-state offering.

Had a Stone 13th tonight from the cellar (which Stone advised against) and I must say, better than when it came out in 2009. I've had about 8 bottles during various times and I would say now is the time to drink it.
