Here are their websites. All great breweries.
The Black Abbey Brewing Company - Are you 21?
Blackstone Brewpub & Brewery | Nashville TN | Restaurant | Craft Beers
Yazoo Brewing Company :: Nashville, TN
You had a chance to try any of the Mayday beer? The brewery is in the Boro and they are serving it in some local bars and restaurants.
That is how I feel about almost every TN brewery.Yes, I was there Saturday actually. They have a nice setup, the beer is ok. I mean its better than the big breweries of course but as far as craft beer goes there are better out there. Its cool place to hang out though from time to time. They have a big deck in the back and a live band on some Sat nights.

its why I said almost. Very few Yazoos I like. Cool Springs and Calfkiller are my favorites in the state so far. Obviously, I'm a fan of Black Abbey. But Ghost River/Boscos, Jackalope and a few others put out uninspired beer. Things are obviously amping up mostly in part due the beer tax change. I'm excited about Wiseacre out of Memphis and I need to check out the Cahttanooga scene. I'm also looking forward to Yazoo's sour program.I'll have to disagree abit about TN breweries. I think Blackstone makes really good beer. Obviously the best of it is served at the taproom, but Adam Bomb and St. Charles are legit. Turtle Anarchy is very good as is Cool Springs Brewery. I even had a Dire Wolf by Jackalope at Craft Brewed last night that was very solid. Hop Project, depending on the version, is good as well. I can live without the other three low gravs, but considering the effort they are putting into their sour program, they are doing some big time things. Haven't really had any mayday stuff, so can't speak on that. I have had plenty of Black Abby and Tennessee Brew Works and excited about them opening.
There are some big things coming along here. New festival by Rhinezome in september at the infield of the race track at the fairgrounds. Will be a Tennessee beer festival. And even bigger event on the horizon in the future. Tennessee may not be on par with Ashville, but pretty exciting time for beer lovers.
I'll keep that in mind for Jackalope. A fair warning to others rushing into the craft (bad pun) because of the damage of their reputation. It'll take a lot of time to repair that because I have several friends that won't touch Jackalope beers because of their bad start, self included. I'll be looking for the one you suggested.Having had some of the beers that the homebrewer they tapped to help with the sour program, Yazoo's sours won't dissappoint.
I think alot of Jackalope's problems stem from them starting too early. They just weren't ready. While I have had some bad beer from them, I have to say they have been stepping up their game. Not on par with CSB, Blackstone or Calfkiller for sure, but hey, they are improving.

This sounds cool will have to go im originally from jackson but live in lexington tn now so im only about 20 miles away:good!:http://www.jacksonsun.com/article/2...-Sept-other-local-business-notes?sf14392215=1
For anyone in or around Jackson, this should be pretty sweet. Been talking some with the brewer on a FB page and sounds like he wants some creative beers to be rotating.
I'm not going either because they have sucked the last couple of years but I think I saw Yazoo and Blackstone on that list. This is an interesting festival. Kind of came about quickly. Done by Rhizome Productions, who some well know put on the very best beer festivals in these parts. This weekend is the Music City Brewers Festival, which is ironic, since there will only be 1 local brewery actually in attendance...Czann I think it is called. With so many festivals occurring now, it is tough for the microbreweries, esp the small ones, to go to all of them. The TN Brewers guild asked that the festivals purchase the beer wholesale to help offset the cost to the brewers. Rhizome and some other organizers agreed (in fact Rhizome has been compensating brewers since day one I believe). Clear Channel, who puts on the MCBF, refused and said all brewers must bring their beer at no charge. Hence the fact that 99% of the local brewers won't be at the festival, which is a shame (although I haven't gone the last couple of years because it just isn't that fun).
