Beer (and beer pics!)

For middle TN you could add:

Black Abbey
Mayday
Calf Killer
Cool Springs Brewery
Fat Bottom
Jackalope
Turtle Anarchy

And the one located in my garage, Monkey Troop Brewery. :)

Also, Tennessee Brew Works that just had their soft opening. I think they will be big players based on their facility.

One word of caution. Not sure if you are planning to put on festivals, but seems to me that folks are starting to get "festivaled" out. Seems there is some function every weekend.

Do they have a distiller's license?

I'm not sure, to be honest. But they clearly are set up to make a lot of beer, so they are going all in. I've had some of their stuff. Mtheyve come to a few of our tastings. Good stuff. Haven't been to the tap room, but the pics look pretty awesome.

Thanks! I will be adding more after I speak with them. I am getting a meeting with the craft brewers guild soon. We are going to get some things together before we approach the brewers.

I talked to the Turtle Anarchy owner last night at a tap takeover and he seemed to think it was a good idea.

I will post major festivals and smaller ones by request. We will host some events but not anything like a festival.

Turtle Anarchy has a lot of really good beer. Their Another Way To Rye is phenomenal. I think their golden ale is the perfect gateway craft beer.

The best thing about Turtle Anarchy is their consistency. All the beers they make are solid. Now they aren't going to step outside of the box a tremendous amount (although I will say Mike is doing it more and more). The great thing about the 2 brewer's in Franklin is you have Mike making really good consistent beer and then you have Derrick at CSB who is a bit of a mad scientist. He is willing to do unusual beers and crazy randalls. Most of the time they are spot on, but sometimes not...but always interesting.

I don't get to CSB as much now that Im not working in Franklin anymore but I always enjoyed the names they give their beers. Nothing like telling a hot waitress you want a Dirty Pecker. :dance2:

We have a similar scenario here. Terminal is good and consistent. CBC tastes like homebrew but is consistent. MBBC has the crazy shiz.

2nd page...bad form. Thought I would bump it back with two pics from my latest hauls. The first one was from my secret santa:

Thanks. I have a meeting with the brewers guild and some folks associated with the state fair. We are grinding out alot of details right now.

We aren't looking to fully launch until spring 2014. We want to allow ourselves plenty of time to ensure a proper launch.

What are you talking to the state fair about?

So this Saturday is one of the best beer festivals in the State...12 South Winter Warmer here in Nashville. Anyone going?

Not making it? Should be really great. They gave each of the local breweries a barrel from Corsiar (housed their Quinoa Whiskey) and told them to go crazy...
