Anyone ever heard of or tried any Aiken Brewing Company beers?

Going to be staying in Aiken, SC for the Masters tonight and ABC is within walking distance of the hotel. Figured I would go try them out while I'm down there.

This place was pretty cool place to go have a beer. Really cool bar. Beers were good too. They had a scotch ale that was very good and very strong. They actually only allow people to order 3 of them. But it wasn't so strong that you couldn't enjoy the flavor of the beer. If anyone if ever in the Augusta area I recommend taking the short 20 min ride over to Aiken and check these guys out.

My Dad will be visiting his summer from Minnesota. I asked him to bring me beer from there.

Surly is on the list. Anyone know anymore to ask for?

Enjoying some Sierra Nevada Summerfest.
Pretty darn good.
Also picked up some Highland Little Hump Spring Ale Seasonal today but haven't tried it yet.

Found a new beer that really surprised me...finch's wet hot american wheat. Not as hoppy as gumball head, but certainly in the same mold. Really good summer beer

I'm young and my taste might change, but I'm not a big fan of wheat beers

However I'd guess that is like certain ones, just not the ones I've tried

Any of you folks in the Chattanooga area, there will be a great festival this Saturday at first TN pavilion. It's the Chattanooga Craft Beer Festival. There will be some great beer there and I believe Dogfish could be making it's triumphant return to the Tennessee Beer fest scene. This one is put on by Rhizome Productions so you know it will be good. I'll be working it so hope to see some of you there!

So, I'm about a week into trying to quit smoking. To help me with this, I'm cutting out all drinking, because we all know how easily a beer or two can turn into three or four, and at that point, I'm not sure I'd be able to resist lighting up a cigarette.

SO, I'm thinking once I make it to 30 days, I'll get myself something nice. Money is almost no object here. Any style is completely fine. Quad, stout, heavy, etc. Something rich. Taking suggestions. GO.

Spent the past week in Boston and Maine. Indulged on 9 different local brews. Wachusett brewery: green monstah ipa. Sam Adams:Boston Lager. Harpoon ipa. John Harvard Brewery: pale ale. Ship yard: export. Cape Cod brewery: ipa. Gritty's: ipa. Allagash: white. And Cisco IPA from Nantucket. Great beer country up here.

bought a sixer of Shake Chocolate Porter (by Boulder Beer Co.) yesterday and it's awesome.

already I think it's one of my favorite beers. I love darker beers and this one is delicious. I had never even heard of that brewery or beer before I saw it yesterday. Glad I picked it up
