Beer (and beer pics!)

I picked up a 6 pack of this the other night. It's pretty damn good and on the light side. If you're outside doing something you could drink 20 of them.

I spent a lot of time at the brewpub when we lived in San Francisco, they have really good pub grub. They are near the Giants park, so we usually stop by there when going to games, so I will probably be there tomorrow. They now have a big brewery in the East Bay near Drake's brewery and you have inspired me to go down there today.

Tried this thinking I would hate it but it's actually really good. Definitely an outdoor mowing-the-lawn kinda beer

Exactly.

Cool! We have 2 breweries right across the street from McKechnie Field (now LECOM Park) in Bradenton where the Pirates have Spring Training (Darwin & Motorworks) and one just down the street...maybe 4 blocks from where the O's train in Sarasota.

They actually sell the Darwin growlers at the Pirates ST games. Best deal in the park if you don't mind drinking out of a jug! :)

I have no problem drinking out of a jug. I am sure it is a much better value than the $14 beers at AT&T Park.

Last night at the ballpark in Bradenton they had a craft beer fest before the game (A Advanced for the Pirates).

There were 18 breweries there. Mostly from FL but Sprecher's from Chicago and Lagunitas were also there.

It was very cool.

That's the problem with going to a ball game these days. It cost a fortune for beers and food. I guess when you're paying $20 Mil per for average players that's what you get.

Bare Bottle Brewing Galaxy Dust IPA - Terrific Northeast style IPA from a brewery in San Francisco.

Uinta Hop Nosh IPA - always solid.

I'm sure everyone on this page is already aware but, If you have not visited Sierra Nevada Brewing Complex in NC, DO IT. It was an awesome experience. We could have stayed there for a full day. Plenty of things to do, Live Music, Corn Hole Board, Private Tours & Tastings, plus Drinking super fresh brews. I really liked the Tropical Torpedo, which is a seasonal IPA. It was good. It was a gorgeous facility. We want to go back & do the longer tour, as we only went on the 30min tour/tasting.

Beer Mecca we call it. 😎

Has anyone tried the new "World's Fair" brew by Fanatic? I cannot wait to get home and try it.

Bump. I need to know

Just got in a few 4 packs of this from Modern Times. I need to visit San Diego more often but luckily I have a friend that sends me all the member beers.

We just got some Ballast Point in our area. I guess the purchase by Constellation helped distribution. Not a huge deal for me but didn't expect it.

Sculpin, Grapefruit Sculpin, Manta DIPA, and Victory at Sea Imp Porter are all excellent by me. Pricey though, here.

Bearded Iris Picture Book IPA -- a little sweetness, not as much resin...Another fantastic and unique offering from the Nashville up-and-comer.

It's ok. I highly doubt that this is the original World's fair recipe though as it has a bit more hop to it than beer did back then.

It might be my favorite Bearded Iris yet. Super juicy on the front end with tropical/ citrus notes and then finishes off with a nice hop and a little lactose creaminess. It made me a happy boy.

Have been on a tour through Savannah, St. Augustine, Fort Lauderdale, and am in Key West now. The only thing I've had that I would consider noteworthy was Coppertail's Purple Drank; it was quite good.
