Belichick 'Volunteers' His Insight

People who sat through the 2002 and 2005 seasons just laugh at this absurd statement.

2005 was just plain egregious in every aspect. I don't think that team was talented enough to play for a national championship like some people were thinking, but they should have won 9-10 games that year with at least a halfway decent effort.

2002 was bad as well (that Florida game in the rain at Neyland was so emblematic of that season).

Statically we did.

That doesn't mean anything. When your defense gives up a TD every other play, your offense is going to be out there a lot and put up numbers. That team had a good, not great QB, two NFL wideouts and an NFL tight end and that was it. The o-line was average at best and a power running game was so non-existent that every time they needed to get a tough yard they had to put a starting linebacker in to try to get it. Talent wise, that probably isn't even in the top 10 I've watched over the years.

Good to know your opinion means more than stats do.

Whatever. Good luck finding someone who agrees with your ridiculous claim that 2012 was our most talented offense ever.

Never said it was our most talented. Said it was the biggest waste of talent all-around, also Said the offense was our best statistically speaking, not talent wise.(second actually, record wouldve been broken had we gone to a bowl game)

Do you always make stuff up or is that something new for you?

Not really!

(1) Coaches didn't develope talent to their full potential.

(2) Possibly we had talent at some positions (offensive line) but were lacking in other positions, (defensive backs) thus we weren't good enough as a team to win many games.

It is #2. We had pockets of talent but serious deficiencies at other positions, and especially the most important position, QB.
