12-4 on steals for Belmont. Wow. That's the stat that is a major cause for concern. Also, our turnover total was in Indianapolis-range.

The poor officiating evens out as both teams suffered evenly from it.

The Vols lose this game if Belmont is on their game behind the three-point line. Especially considering that the Vols did not seem to be aware that Belmont likes to take about 30 3's a game, given how many uncontested 3's we witnessed tonight. That's unacceptable.

Hard to learn much from the 3rd highest foul total EVER for an NCAA game.

It's a win. It's game two. And there won't be another game like this all year or likely in any of these players or coaches careers.

Not a great game at all but UT held on to get the W. Belmont isn't a bad team. I had a feeling it would be close.

UT will have to play better next game or they'll lose.

Our starters had 3 assists combined and only 8 as a team. Really bad.

I disagree.

It gave us a chance to get to the line 40 times, of which we converted 32.

It also played to our depth...Brian Williams in foul trouble? Who cares, insert Fields. Fields in foul trouble too? OK, Kenny Hall then.

What it did, was tend towards sloppy basketball. Belmont, though, kept their composure and played well anyway. Tennessee did not, and it nearly killed us at the end.

Hops had 3 assists by himself. Tatum had 2, Tobias and Melvin had 1 each.

We did have a holy mess of turnovers, though.
