Bench Bowden

I was just saying the same thing. He’s not helping you at all. Let him sit. The bench is the great motivator. JJJ plays ZERO defense

Bowden just doesn’t have the mental make-up to be who we need him to be this year. He cannot be a primary option and despite being athletic, when he is forced to put the ball on the floor he doesn’t know what to do with it.

I don't think we should give all of Bowden's minutes to Gaines. Just let Bowden play off the bench. Gaines has shown more aggressiveness than Bowden and that's what we need a bit more of.
Can’t disagree with that.

Benching Guarantano helped him in football - even tho a lot of armchair coaches said it was a bad idea. I think doing the same might help Bowden and the team. At this point just rolling the ball out and doing the same thing is a proven loss, so Coach needs to earn his money and try something different instead of just blaming the players for not executing the plan he gave them (maybe they arent skilled enough to, so try something else)

There is no proof benching him helped anything. Benching him just showed us we had nothing better behind him so they had to put him back in. they kept giving guys chances to take his job. They failed.

Maurer came in the game last night threw 3 passes every pass hit the hands of a reciver.. sadly only one of them was a UT receiver... that's why JG got put back in the options behind him were worse. Had we stuck with him all year he likely plays better overall. But there is no real way to know. What is clear is JG has always been a slow starter and puts up better numbers in the second half whether he starts or comes off the bench.

If the coaches had someone to start in front of Bowden that person would be starting already.

Bowden is struggling that’s simply plain to see. Not for sure at this point what will help this team. We lack experience and really developed talent. Only a couple of guys seem to really know their role. Only hitting 1 free throw in the game (until the last seconds) really speaks volumes about our team.

Vescovi has only been here a week. That's an adjustment for the other players as well. But no doubt though, Bowden is in a funk.

JJJ looked pretty good.

Can we just stop with the Gaines is the answer stuff? He should get more minutes because we only have 8 or 9 players but the notion that he is a better option is subjective at best. I don't think he has made a shot outside the paint in several games. I think Pember has more 3 point makes than he does.
