Bench Bowden

Vescovi has only been here a week. That's an adjustment for the other players as well. But no doubt though, Bowden is in a funk.

JJJ looked pretty good.
Yeah. That's overlooked.

The adjustment to a new 6-10" post is a lot different than a 1.

Bowden is a good role player and that is the part he wants to play. He has completely freaked out over being told, it was his team to carry this year. He does not want that role. He wants to be able to play defense, pass the ball, and occasionally take an open jumper or go backdoor for a dunk. He cannot handle having defenses keying on him. He should not be asked to nor should he take over 10 shots in a game.

Not everyone wants to be nor can they be da Man.

It may have been mentioned, but Barnes said in the post game that he plans to cut Bowden’s minutes.

I want your opinion to be incorrect, or exaggerated, but unfortunately, I have a hard time disagreeing with most of it. He just doesn’t have it in him to be a leader of men.

If you could combine Bowden’s skill with Turner’s attitude and mental approach, you’d really have something to build on.

Because he’s displayed a higher top end that Bowden??
NO. Because Bowden hasn't been effective. Bowden seems to be one of those guys who plays better coming off the bench. We can't win if he's averaging just 12 pts/g.

I think you're right. Earlier in the year I wanted him to take 15-20 shots a game. Not right now. He played better tonight though.
