Bought a 42in from them. They dropped it on the way to my car. Had to argue with a manager that I didn't want the Tv since one of his associates dropped it.
Well I'm dealing with them over a TV right now. I ordered one online last week for a delivery yesterday. I didn't realize until yesterday morning I had never gotten a call letting me know when they'd deliver, so I checked the order status online and the delivery was cancelled.
I call customer service and they confirmed the delivery wa cancelled but can't tell me why. So she puts in that it would be delivered today and that by the end of yesterday I'd get a call letting me know the time frame of the delivery. About 9 last night I realize "Hey no call". I call back this morning, and the person says it's still going to be delivered today.
Well about 3 I check the status and...it says the delivery was cancelled again. I call back a third time, not quite as nice, and after 5 minutes on hold, I'm told the TV is actually on back order, and I'll be contacted when it's in stock again and ready to be delivered.
I'm not upset at the back ordered part, though I did want the TV in time for the Super Bowl, but I am mad I had to call 3 times to find out it was back ordered, and that apparently it's been back ordered several days.
There customer service is pretty bad. I had to work the chain to the district manager to get my refund back. Store manager said it was against store policy for them to help put the tv in my car. I was like the fook, Your guy dropped it your guy broke your store policy and your gonna give me my refund. I got escorted out. I got my full refund and a 100 giftcard.
I suggest to call at least two times a day to ensure the delivery.
Is the tv in stock in a local BB?

Oh yeah, and this is the same week I got a PS4 from them, and the kid that rang me up tried to get me to get their Protection Plan. Which again, I get why they push them, but he laid it on way too thick, even "guaranteeing" my PS4 would fail in the first week. To which I called him out on that and then he couldn't even get the cash register to work.
Every time I shop in one of the two Knoxville Best Buy stores, I'm reminded of how much I miss CompUSA and Circuit City.

I had an issue years ago with a kid pushing Monster brand HDMI cables when 120 Hz was the next big thing in TVs. He told me that if I even wanted to be able use the 120 Hz feature I would need a Monster cable ($120 at that) capable of handling the 120 Hz. After I belittled him about how the 120 Hz was processed within the TV and had nothing to do with signal, he backed off.
I had another issue when I pre-ordered Modern Warfare 2. I had never pre-ordered a game from Best Buy, but I had pre-ordered several games from Gamestop. At midnight release events, Gamestop allows you to the pre-pay BEFORE midnight, so at midnight you just show your receipt and take a game. Best Buy refused to operate this way, making 150 people wait until midnight to start checking people out, inevitably having register issues with their pre-order system. To top off the frustration, they had a separate line for pre-orders "to handle them faster," but because of the register issues, there were guys walking in and just buying the game off the shelf and walking out within 5 minutes. I didn't leave the store until ~1:30AM. Needless to say, that was my last time attending a midnight release event.
