Same. I was at Best Buy for a loooonnnng while. Employees are just pressured to an extreme extent for warranties, accessories and expanded services.
Five, ten years ago, the company was willing to pay the kind of wages required to hire competent, knowledgeable sales people. That's no longer the case, that's why I and many others left (or were fired).
Honestly speaking, it's the fault of the internet. Big box stores can't compete with the lack of overhead of Amazon and other online retailers. There's no longer a market for quality sales people in home theater and computers outside of the very high end, and those same screws are already starting to be tightened with mobile devices as well.
