Best High School Player Seen

Believe you have a winner.... also the other QB was Michael Edmiston... He led them one year through the regular season and the cumulative scores were like 460 to 75. Was not a deep team, lost their scatback to injury...... found the 2003 season data before I hit post... Check out this season and who ended it. Darndest season with a schedule like this I have ever been around. Watched Alcoa dominate in 3A since returning to east TN but did not match this season.

I played against LC that year. We got a 7-0 lead and thought we had a chance… I think the lead lasted two plays. Horrocks and Divens were it fun to play against.

Pretty young when I saw him play and wasn’t the best competition but Dustin Moore in the early 90s at Greeneville High was pretty special. Remember him running through and away from everyone. Would have been a great tight end if he was playing for the vols now instead of in the 90s but had flashes of greatness in 95-96

You are correct, Dustin Moore, Marty Story, James “Mudturtle” Mayes, Greeneville has had a bunch of big time guys that were fun to watch.

Not football….But I had the pleasure of watching Dwight Doc Gooden…Derek Bell…Vance Lovelace…Play while going to Hillsborough high school….Oh Dwight’s nephew a few years later came out of the same school….Gary Sheffield…..Also the same school that produced the GREAT STEVE KINER !
