Tennessee: Manning/White/Atkins
Florida: Emmitt Smith
Georgia: Hershel Walker
Kentucky: George Blanda
South Carolina: Sterling Sharpe
Vanderbilt: Shelton Quarles/Jay Cutler

Alabama: Shaun Alexander/Joe Namath
Arkansas: Lance Alworth/Steve Atwater/Pat Summerall
Auburn: Bo Jackson
LSU: Alan Faneca/Kevin Mawae/Billy Cannon/Y.A. Tittle
Ole Miss: Archie Manning or Deuce McAllister
Mississippi State: Jerious Norwood

very good list actually, i can't really argue with it. might have to throw champ bailey in there, he's a stud. not to mention, it's hard to point out just one guy, considering over the years and the fact that football is archie's time is different than in peyton's time

Deuce would have to win out over Archie Manning any day. Wasn't Archie a terrible NFL player. Anyway, Eli will soon surpass both.

Actually Archie was a pretty good Qb on a horrible Saints team. He was the human highlight film as every Sunday he ran for his life as there was absolutely no blocking. Unlike his boys he was a very mobile scrambling Qb.

There are probably 10-15 USC players who were better than Swann.

Archie is the only player to win league MVP while on a losing team. He did it twice. The Saints have been terrible for a long time. Also, I don't see Eli overtaking Peyton. He'll be a great one, but I've seen nothing to this point that makes me think he is better than his older brother.

I meant that Eli would surpass both Deuce and his father as the best from Ole Miss.

I'd put the snake over Alexander at bammer and there is no way you can leave out the best that ever came out of Arkie. Dan Hampton!

It's slim pickin's for Vandy football players, but I'd give Will Wolford the nod as the best in Black and Gold. Cutler after a productive NFL career.

OK, name 10 or 15 from USC who impacted the pro game more than Swanny. The clock's running.
Marcus Allen, OJ Simpson, Ronnie Lott, Keyshawn Johnson, Anthony Munoz, Junior Seau, Willie McGinnest come to mind immediately, I'm sure others will pop into my head as I think about this. Swann was a good receiver who had a couple of good Super Bowls. He wasn't even the best WR on his own team.
