I don't know what it is, but I've always liked his rapping. I always liked it more than the music before I understood that he's much more respected as an instrumental writer. That being said, I don't get it when people say he's good instrumental writer, but a bad rapper. To each their own, I suppose.

"The Chronic" is a hip hop classic album from Dr. Dre'. No home should be without Chronic, lol. Surprise no love for Eric B & Rakim. Classic NY hip hop. "Paid in Full" was another classic album. Too Short's "Life is too short" is one the funkiest rap albums around.

Yup, best rap group by far. Their first 3 albums were amazing. They started falling off when they thought solo projects were the way to go. All five were/are solid rappers thou.
