It was an exciting game against a pretty bad Bama team.
2003 5ot game in Tuscaloosa. We stayed in the stadium singing Rocky Top until every Bammer was gone.
Then we (the 2000 or so Vol fans still in the stadium) all sang" We just beat the hell outta you!" to the defeated Bammers as they walked with their heads down.
THEN we all left as a huge group singing Rocky Top over and over as we walked down the exit ramps of the stadium.
THEN we all cracked open our coolers and had the longest post-game tailgate party ever.
It was something I'll never forget and an experience that will never be matched. If you were there then you know. If you weren't there you just have to try your best to imagine it.
I was at 98 and 04 FL, 98 Arky, 06 Cal,and the 5 (or 6, can't remember) OT Arky game (03 maybe?) But 03 at Tuscaloosa 5OT game was the most magical
98 season tickets south 40 yd line w backs against the pressbox. Took my 6 yr old little girl to the Razorbacks game on a daddy/daughter "mostestest fun time we've ever had daddy, right daddy"! most fun time I've ever had at a ball game. Shakers, Smokey plushey, new hats, junk food out our ears, singing Rocky Top as loud as we could. Her ear peircing squeal ....
By the way, we won...![]()
Best game "experience" for me is probably a tie, both games against SC.
2009, on Halloween, the black jerseys, band playing Thriller, the rain. So fun!
Then 2013. Nobody wanted to leave. There were tons of fans still in the stadium after the team left the field.
Hey, little buddy. Step out from underneath that cloud. There are plenty of things to feel bad about without using somebody else's good Vol memories to do it.
I want the UF players to have fear in their eyes before they come out of the tunnel at Neyland. I want them to hear the crowd roar and feel the ground beneath them shake. Is this a realistic possibility?
