'98 FLA. I went from section EE to the field in about 10 seconds...

Also the '98 Arkansas game-after "the fumble"-the only time I've literally been speechless.

And '03 FLA in Gainesville. Just nice to see them beat UF, especially in the road.

I was there in that crowd. Until you truly celebrate something in that atmosphere like that....nothing compares. Winning the NC was awesome but experiencing that victory on the field with the players...being picked up by John Finlayson and bounced on his shoulder pads to the point I nearly blacked out....having Billy Ratliff high five my hand so damn hard I couldn't feel it for 5 minutes....that is just something that can not be topped for me. And being at the Arkansas game is my second most favorite....in the same season.

LOL...the guy in white hanging on....used to play pick up basketball at the YMCA in Bristol with him back in the mid 1990's after I graduated high school....he will always live in Tennessee Football history. We were pounding a few beers with him in the parking lot that day before the game too. What a fun time to come up as a young Volunteer. Hate that you young VFL's have not had the opportunity to experience success on that level yet.

2003 5ot game in Tuscaloosa. We stayed in the stadium singing Rocky Top until every Bammer was gone.

Then we (the 2000 or so Vol fans still in the stadium) all sang" We just beat the hell outta you!" to the defeated Bammers as they walked with their heads down.

THEN we all left as a huge group singing Rocky Top over and over as we walked down the exit ramps of the stadium.

THEN we all cracked open our coolers and had the longest post-game tailgate party ever.

It was something I'll never forget and an experience that will never be matched. If you were there then you know. If you weren't there you just have to try your best to imagine it.

I was at 98 and 04 FL, 98 Arky, 06 Cal,and the 5 (or 6, can't remember) OT Arky game (03 maybe?) But 03 at Tuscaloosa 5OT game was the most magical

Thank you for your service.

My wife, daughter and I were at the 2001 game at Florida, that 34-32 masterpiece! Travis Stephens had a great day and it was so nice to leave the Swamp singing Rocky Top! It was a heck of a way for our daughter to celebrate her sixth birthday!

I was there too. It was an amazing experience. Something special about going into another teams Stadium and walking out with a victory, leaving them dejected, especially when they were supposed to throttle us! We sang Rocky Top for what seemed like hours. Hard to beat that experience...

It looks like he's grabbing the guy's junk...plus why is the guy in the jersey wearing a glove?

:eek:lol: I don't know why he has a glove on....unless he is a huge Michael Jackson fan. And at that moment in that instant...you gotta hold on to what ever you can :eek:lol:

I have been to Tennessee several times, but have never been to Neyland Stadium. I have only been to one Tennessee game, and that was last year @Mizzou. Terrible experience.

Best Game Experience was 98 Florida. Best moment was 98 Clint Fumble I thought the stadium was going to collapse from the crowd going insane. I was in the Nose Bleeds cold, wet, and screaming my lungs out. Travis Henry became one of my all time fav Vols on the following drive.

This is one of my two as well.... I could not stand to watch what was taking place and my brother and I were easing our way out of the seating and into the tunnel.... all of a sudden we heard a HUGE ROARRRRRRRRR... I hopped on his back (he is much larger than I even though I am certain we looked like idiots.. I did it anyway) and he fought his way back in and we seen Arky had fumbled!!!! What a great game.. the other was for sure the game against Florida the same year.. I got to help carry the goalpost down the street! Woohoo!!

Go Vols:rock:

Best moment EVER at a UT game was when the FL kicker missed the FG in OT & we won 20-17. Had been to the Syracuse game earlier in the season & Hall's winning kick was awesome. SYR fans were mad & sore losers! One told me how bad Fla was going to beat us the next week & how glad he was that they were....Ark stumble fumble crumble was magical! I had just said " well, being #1 was nice while it lasted!!!" THANKS AGAIN, CLINT! Didn't make ATL or Tempe that year but soaked them both in on TV

Yeah, I watched it online the other day. We dug ourselves a 3 turnover hole early and had to overcome that to get to OT. The fg block at end of regulation by Mondre Dickerson saved a bad loss, sending it to OT.

I forgot how awesome that game was. Worn out when it was over.

And remember it was 4th & 19 with us down by a TD & we picked up a 1st down!!!

Because it seemed to begin as a candidate for the worst and ended as it did, the '98 Arkansas game tops my list. Sitting at the 35 yard line in a torrential downpour and down 3 scores in the 2nd half was truly miserable. It is likely impossible to go any higher from such a depth.

Last game I attended at Neyland as student in 1990.

45-3 thrashing of Gators and very unhappy Steve Spurrier.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S57-dt_FcJ8

I was at this game as well and it was my 2nd favorite game I attended...loved the rain, loved the win and I was a freshman at UT. My favorite UT game I ever went to was my 1st with my dad. Willie Gault ran a kickoff back for a TD and it was the day John Ward said he was running all the way to the state capitol.

Greatest sports game I ever attended was the UNC vs Michigan Chris Weber timeout game. In New Orleans, sitting with UNC fans, National Championship on the line and the confusion that set in was crazy...it was awesome seeing those cocku Michigan players walk off the court crying

We beat Bama at Legion Field and Joey Kent scored on the first play from line of scrimmage. Peyton Manning bootlegs for a Touchdown Tennessee. Jay Grahams sprint from 75 yards for a Touchdown. All in All that night we whooped Bama. Walked by the locker room to congralate the Vols. And there stood Tee Martin not knowing he would lead us to a CHAMPIONSHIP! UNDEAFEATED!

That's pretty cool. Tee was still in HS, correct?

I've turned into one giant goosebump after reading this thread. Amazing moments man! I've never been to an SEC game, so my greatest game experience was from the couch. 98' FL and ARK wins. Super jealous of you guys. I'm going to the Florida game this year, so hopefully that'll be my greatest. We're undefeated in all the games I've been to though :)

My best is the 2001 Ark game. Witten catches the game winner in the 6th overtime.

Second place would have to be the SC black jersey game. Between that and it being Halloween, it was wild.
