Most accurate in every sense of the way, isn't a movie per say. The Generation Kill, 7 part series that played on HBO, was about Recon Marines during the invasion of Iraq

Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, and We Were Soldiers aren't bad, either.

Personally, I couldn't stand The Thin Red Line but to each his own.

My Dad really likes that, but he's a freak. He reads 1200-page Civil War strategic history books.

Only seen half but Defiance has been good.

I think BOB was so good, it just couldn't even compare. It was good in its own right though.
