Band of Brothers - nearly perfect series; -1 for casting Schwimmer
Zulu - Epic battle against odds. Awesome ending, Zulu song + R. Burton listing medal winners.
Lawrence of Arabia - great acting and amazing scenery
Das Boot - great movie, but is it OK to cheer for Nazis?
Stalag 17 - Die Peter Graves! Wm. Holden was superb.
Ran - King Lear in Japan
IMO Schwimmers voice was too mellow for a strict diciplinarian psycopath. Face it, he did voice the giraffe in Madagascar![]()
which fit perfectly when he came up to that farmer's fence in the British countryside
I've always thought that the choice of Schwimmer was curious, but in the end, it fit. Anybody who was in the military has encountered someone like this, whether they were an officer or an NCO.
A voice that fits for a hypochondriac giraffe in a kid's movie also fits for a psycopathic military officer in a war movie? Schwimmer is not known as an actor of much depth so we'll differ on that...

The Blue Max (1966) - IMDb
Peppard's performance is forgettable, but Ursula Andress in her prime is amazing.
you're hung up on the cartoon thing, aren't you? You must not have any clue how many actors, talented or not, do cartoon work.
I must be the only person here who has seen "The Blue Max", if you want to see some impressive flight sequences, this movie delivers.
