Better SEC

Doesn't Auburn have a new arena this season? We catch them on the road in February.

Rue.

In order to prepare for the hostile crowd, Pearl will have a closed practice so he can accurately depict the anticipated attendance.

They will practice at 3 AM at the arena to prepare for playing in a completely quite arena at Auburn. Maybe bring in one or two cheerleaders and have the yell a couple of times.

Homefry has has some solid contributions to this thread.

Georgia got a good win against GT. Hewitt is still crap but GT is better than last year.

Pastner cannot get them to even foul the way he wants.

I would be frustrated if I was a Memphis fan.

Kansas also looked like a team I would not mind playing. We might lose to them this year, but our team we have matches up much better to them than the team we had that we beat them with last year. The caveat is that they may be better once they get Selby.

The ACC is better, it's not close.
I'm not so sure about that. The ACC doesn't have anyone as bad as Auburn, but the back end of that league isn't good. Take Duke out of the equation and I'm not sure there's a Hell of a lot of difference.

They won a game in the 'AAs last year, this year they have already lost to Kennesaw St. by 17. You never cease to amaze me...

Are you trying to tell me replacing Derrick Favors with Daniel Miller isn't an upgrade?

I think the ACC is a lot deeper than the SEC. Wake Forest sucks and Georgia Tech is bad. Clemson isn't far behind either at this rate. Carolina, Virginia Tech, Florida State, and maybe Miami will make the dance. North Carolina State, Boston College, Maryland, and Virginia could have an outside shot, also.

The SEC has Tennessee, Kentucky, and maybe Vanderbilt. Then a drop until you get a cluster like Florida, Georgia, the Mississippi schools, and South Carolina. Then you have not so good teams in Arkansas and LSU. Then the embarrasment's in Alabama and Auburn.

Does Auburn have a band playing at the basketball games? Or did they cut that to free up more money for football recruiting?

Nothing that happened last night concerns any Memphis fan with knowledge of the program. We are 345 out of 356 teams in experience. We are playing five true freshmen, two juniors (one is his first year of ball since high school) and one senior who is only playing his 2nd season of D1 ball (JUCO). We are learning as we develop. The full court press looked great last night. Shot selection was pretty bad but that comes from immaturity. We will get much better as the season progresses and will be even better next year.

Georgia has much better offense than last year. They have 2 guards who can score on TN.

Thompkins has been playing incredibly well while recovering from his ankle injury. It is still early to see how amazing he can be, but the Vols probably SHOULD sweep them.

Tennessee is a team who should be ashamed to lose to Auburn.

Pitt, Memphis, UConn, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Miss State if Sidney plays as well as he might...

None of those are losses to hang your head because of.

Izzo has 3 losses at this point in the season. His team is still super talented and should be fine come March.

Way to go out on a limb with that prediction... "probably should" why don't you man up a little?

hahaha.

Thanks for your awesome predictions...

By January I should be able to make SEC schedule predictions for every team but Miss. State.

People on here who butt heads with me fall generally in two categories
1. People who have problems reading and think something that took me 4 minutes to write is a novel because it takes them 12 minutes to read it. This group never makes their own predictions.

2. A group who has made horrific predictions. This group cries and cries because of how much I mock them. These are all the people on the board who corrected me and called me an idiot when I said the Vols would be in the Elite 8 last year before the season started.

There is also a group that includes Hardwood Fanatic and BPV that makes fun of me and falls into neither group. Sometimes we even have reasonable conversations about basketball.

Arkansas Seton Hall
Vanderbilt Missouri
and Kentucky Notre Dame tonight...

I want to be wrong, but I think 1-2 is likely.

3-0 would be a terrific night for the conference.

If, hypothetically speaking I were to say you are a giant turd, which group would I fall into? Again purely hypothetical.

I want to be clear. I don't make fun of you personally. I take issue with many of your predictions, your penchant for making many predictions and your approach to basketball analysis, but only when the 3 are absurd. When you make some sense, I leave it alone.

I used to make fun of your stalking, but have decided that only exacerbates the problem by opening another venue in which you can talk about the stalkee.

I would leave everything but the predictions alone if not for the thinly veiled personal shots he takes. Well, those and the fact that I am a bit of a prick.

I am keeping tabs on how many dumb things like "GT is better this year" he is going to throw out before the end of the season.
