Assuming there is only one "bite" event from the campaign 4 years ago, the context you provided lessens the moment of concern about mental acuity. After watching a video of him biting his wife’s finger, and probably ruining my YouTube algorithm forever, I think your third paragraph is inconsistent with the premise of the second.
She’s gesticulating at the podium, waving her hand in front of his face and he starts bobbing and weaving, seemingly exaggerating to play for the audience, who got the joke and chuckled.
So are you saying that the bobbing and weaving wasn’t a joke for the audience, he actually thought she might bump his face and was legitimately scared but didn’t realize he could just step to his right? Did he forget where he was in the 3 or so seconds between starting a joke for the audience and biting her finger that he forgot where he was? Was he just being silly to try to humanize himself in a big primary race and did something weird? Or maybe you got taken in by an exaggerated narrative of the event and your basis for comparison isn’t really that realistic.
So apparently Heels Up has come out with part of her agenda. Nation rent control caught my eye.
Glad I don't own any rental property. Also glad I am not a renter, because my guess is that if she is installed, rents are going to skyrocket between November and January. They certainly would if I owned rental property.
I think AP, NYT, and WaPo (sans the editorial pages) are better sources than Laura Loomer and Julie Karen on twitter and are generally better than Daily Caller, Town Hall, etc. But I don’t pay that much attention to third party characterizations, period. So you need to pay attention to what ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, NYT, WaPo, etc says as the news to be informed? Is that accurate?
So the investment play would be REI tents.Per the wife who's in the business on a fairly large scale. This will be the end of Section 8 housing and pretty much any housing for federally subsidized rent. They see no way that rent control would be held up in court but just like how they used federal medical dollars to mandate the covid vax at health care providers they could mandate rent control for property owners accepting federal dollars.
I occasionally call my sons the wrong name or even the dogs name before usually getting it right. Every parent does thatI think AP, NYT, and WaPo (sans the editorial pages) are better sources than Laura Loomer and Julie Karen on twitter and are generally better than Daily Caller, Town Hall, etc. But I don’t pay that much attention to third party characterizations, period.
Taking the post in question, I saw a characterization of him “forgetting his kid’s name.” So I looked for more information on that and he didn’t “forgot Eric’s name” he just left him out of a list of his kids, it was while Eric and his wife were standing there, so not a great sign, but not as significant as misnaming your own child.
Take me through her math, if you can. On the surface, I do not see why rent controls and Section 8 cannot exist simultaneously.Per the wife who's in the business on a fairly large scale. With the media sources he listed not calling him out or investigating it - just shaking their heads in agreement, or just saying "that is just Joe, hahaha". Trusted news sources.I occasionally call my sons the wrong name or even the dogs name before usually getting it right. Every parent does that
What every parent doesn't do is claim their son died in Iraq.

i have no experience with that dynamic. I Trust her experience.I haven't gone into depth with her on this but my understanding is that having a mixture of Section 8 and "regular" renters in a complex works if the rents are close. When that divide widens they lose their regular residents.
this is absolutely true. I danced with that devil for about 6 months many years ago. Never again. Also it's my understanding that these subsidized housing programs come in and inspect the properties and the units have to be updated regularly to comply with the requirements.
Agree with one tin foil comment, who says they will have the control to kick out the subsidized renters? They're not going to dump money into apartments they can't get their money out of so kick out the subsidized renters, upgrade all of the buildings and charge market rates.
I don’t know about prior, but he gave another fairly capable speech on June 6, 2024.@RockyTop85, in an attempt to not wash one discussion into the next, I am using the @ instead of reply.
You mentioned Biden's sotu and used that as a contrast between his actual ability and his perceived ability.
Did you not find his sotu to be an impressive departure from his ability from months or weeks prior?
Many of us speculated his handler's juiced him for the event(s). You find any validity in that? I know there is no proof here, just asking your take on it.I don’t know about prior, but he gave another fairly capable speech on June 6, 2024.
He has clearly declined from 16 years ago. His decline began before 2020 and he has clearly declined since then. I’m really not debating that Joe Biden has lost several steps.

I don’t really know what the first paragraph has to do with anything. He didn’t misname his son, he just forgot to mention him when listing his other children. I said that was a mild mistake, and going back to look to see if he called him Jared or something was an acknowledgment of what you’re describing. So are you trying to point out how reasonable I am? I just don’t understand what you’re trying to accomplish with this paragraph.I occasionally call my sons the wrong name or even the dogs name before usually getting it right. Every parent does that

I don’t know. It’s possible. Again, I’m not saying he isn’t old and mentally addled. Just trying to start the comparison from original (2020) sources and reality before it gets muddled by rhetoric. I don’t think speculating about him being juiced for specific performances in 2024 is going to get us any closer to that. Many of us speculated his handler's juiced him for the event(s).
