You see people this is what happens when you take your work home with you. The guy must have worked very late at the office that day as he didn’t even have time to get out of his suicide vest before the raid burst into his mostly peaceful home.

Wonder how many children he mistakenly killed THIS time?
"The opposition-run Syrian Civil Defense, first responders also known as the White Helmets, said 13 civilians were killed as a result of the fighting and blasts that occurred at the raid site, including six children and four women.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a war watchdog group based in the United Kingdom, said in a press statement that nine people, including at least two children and a woman, were killed during Wednesday's mission. The group cited local sources."

And of course:

"A U.S. official, meanwhile, told ABC News that the reported civilian casualties were not the result of U.S. military fire, but occurred when the target of the raid detonated an explosive device at the beginning of the operation. "

Whatever happened to the whistleblower that said most of our drone strikes killed innocent people and almost never killed the high value targets that are mentioned in press releases?
The govt doesn't need to report that any longer since the last admin removed the requirements

I don't think we should be using drones to kill people. Too many civilians being killed simply from being near a target. If killing a target isn't worth risking our soldiers lives, then they aren't that important of a target.

Wholeheartedly disagree. If we can whack a bad guy without putting our people in danger I'm all for it, we just need to do a better job with them.

That's an argument for exercising discretion when using drones, not forego using drones altogether.

If you could manage to do it with any certainty that we wouldn't kill people that are innocent I would be all for it. I think we create more terrorist than we kill doing the way we are right now.

I don't know of a way to do it without risking some civilian casualties, I'm sure we could do a better job though.

I can assure you the accuracy of the weapons and designators along with the confined area lethality range of the modern weapons they are using highly mitigate collateral damage.

We hit exactly what we are shooting at nearly every single time. We simply must do a perfect job of knowing exactly who we are shooting at.

I don't doubt the weapons or the people controlling them. I doubt the accuracy of the intelligence and the leadership.

I think the hiding behind women and children is about to run its course. The women and children are learning the tactic doesn't work, they die along with the bad guys, and it's no longer the world outrage.....it's still bad but nothing happens as a result anymore.

Remember back during the Gulf War & watching the nightly news. They'd show the "smart bombs" hitting their target from a long distance away. We sat there looking in amazement at the technology we never knew existed. They could launch missiles from ships sitting in the ocean & hit the target with great success. Apache helicopters moving from Iraqi tank to tank blowing them to kingdom come until they surrendered on the spot.

Lol I remember vividly. As I tell people still today nobody was more amazed at how well they worked than we were since we designed them in a government contracting environment 😂
