Because that's how our country has been set up and it works. A handful of population centers (echo chambers) controlling the entire country is asinine

Why is my second statement awful? It's completely true and showed a true failure in education

The point that was never raised was the fact that he didn't shut it down to begin with. That was left up to each state and local leaders to decide as it should have been. For the most part, the more lockdown states and cities suffered more economically than those that didnt.

It was mentioned above but covid was easy for Joe to campaign on, all he need to say was listen to the science. He didn't have to explain the balance between it and the economy/unemployment. The idea that you could go heavy handed against covid and still be good on the other is a farce.

There is a huge war brewing with China and we are a mess domestically. I don’t know why I have to constantly cite the obvious. He talked more about rioters than the racial issues that sparked the frustration. Look at the language in this thread. The racism in the blm thread made me go from reader to poster here.

Oh not just his takes , go look at some of @Coug takes . If my memory is correct he was the one suggesting we take over the island where that preacher was killed and put all the inhabitants in a zoo , the ones we don’t kill . That way it would be safe for people to land on it if they need to. Lol
