well in that scenario Bama wouldn’t need to pray.
Tennessee’s not getting in; however if TCU lost by 50 they would be forced to debate the resumes of all three. I’m down for them to at least debate.

Zero faith in the CFP but I do wonder if they would have reevaluate 3-7 if both TCu and USC lost decisively.
Because then you have 5 teams who are all not conference champs to pick 2 from. It’s like in the NFL where you have 4-5 teams tied with same record and teams who won head to heads are still behind who they beat because there 4-5 teams to settle tiebreakers with.
if TCu loses today, I don’t think CFP is going to make it Bama vs TCU. I think there will be small chance they have to automatically consider us in that debate simply because of resumè. Not like we haven’t seen the committee shuffle rankings on conference champ weekend because of things going unexpected. Yeehaw!
It really wouldn’t be a debate about the resumes of all three. The lowest ranked of the 3 would be more of a passing note/mention…which would likely be Tennessee.
It’d really more be opening a debate about whether 12-1 TCU or 10-2 Alabama should be in.
