Syracuse is tough because they bother teams with that zone defense--a 'cuse trademark for 30 years under Boeheim; and they have two GOOD guards who can score, plus another, Rautins, who can really shoot the trey. They're not great inside, by any stretch, but they have some blulk in the paint. And they are a gritty team--by now obvious. Still, it will be interesting to see how they respond in the tourney. That group has to be TOTALLY spent...

I think they proved that with fresh legs they are quick enough to mask their other problems. Wherever the panel had Syracuse seeded this morning, they're still there unless they actually went up with other losses.

Agree on the seeding, but not on the zone. They advanced because UConn choked and their 3 point shooting was unreal.

They're 20 year olds with at least 4 days off. There should be no "tired" excuse from them if they get bounced early. Boeheim will make sure of that. This experience should only make them better for next week.

Rautins being stone cold tonight killed them.
