Vandy is working out well into the future but to be fair perfectgame is ranking those guys at the same pace or even sooner. It could easily be said they are just looking at perfectgame website and starting their recruiting list there
What? And South Carolina and LSU and Arkansas are all just looking at the PG ratings and getting commits?
I mean I've been following our recruiting since CDS' 2nd year or so...we've never been out front, but I don't recall us ever being behind every SEC team, we've always been ahead of Missouri.
Thinking the uncertainty makes no difference in this scenario doesn't make sense.
I was just saying that Vandy isnt exactly raiding the 8th grades and discovering unknown players
Baseball recruiting is much different than football. Some Years schools might only sign 5-7 guys.
I havnt studied our roster but guess we need nowhere close to 16 like Vandy has committed

Outside of Corbin I think kids commit to schools more so than coaches in baseball.
I don't think there is near as much "who am I going to play for but more where am I going to play in the SEC in baseball.
Corbin is the only one that really holds that much weight IMO

Excited to get the season under way and see what the Vols have in store for us this season. I DO believe they will have a better and more productive season. Let's be positive and support this team like only Volnation can......also these new uniforms are sweet, how can we get our hands on some of those?
Anybody know any specifics about this years team? projected pitching rotation/starting lineup? Any newcomers supposed to be studs?
Well TJ for starters, I'm betting on practice starting next weekend around Jan. 28,29,30...
I have no idea who the guys for the weekend will be but I think Andy Cox, Kyle Serrano, Hunter Martin, Jon Lipinski (new JUCO), and Zach Warren will all get a shot, maybe Arron Soto, Freshman Will Neely.
Relievers/Closers: Steven Kane, Kyle Serrano, Zach Reid, Eric Freeman, Quint Robinson, Richard Jackson, Alex Harper-Cook
I don't know the status of Jacob Westphal, I'm assuming he won't pitch this season due to TJ Surgery.

Wait, what about Jordan Rogers? He played extremely well at several positions last season and came through offensively as well. Is he hurt? Pruett I hope gets to be in the line up as he also contributed with the bat last season! Let us know how the team looks come the practices next week.

Sorry, it was just an oversight on my part, he will definitely be in the mix and he can play IF or OF, I added him to the list at RF because he played there some last year, he might get a look at 1B or 2B as well...if he hits at the beginning of the season like he did at the end he'll get a spot.
I also didn't really address DH, but both guys you mentioned could be in the mix there, JR could back up Nick Senzel at 3B for the occasional day off and NS could DH...Pruett, Hall and VJax could all hit in the one spot...it's making my head hurt thinking of all the variables...but yeah I will endeavor to get to some practices, let's just keep our fingers crossed for good weather.
GBO!!!
