BIG WIN LADIES!!!!

How about staying in your lane? Just trying to defend a civil centered poster.

UConn did play like an uncontrolled mess, but I would give the LV some credit for that. Great intensity for four quarters. First we’ve seen that against a top team this year.
Thank you.

@BigBadVol I genuinely did not come in here to make disparaging remarks about the LVs. I am a UConn fan, but also a college WBB fan in general.

Saying UConn played like crap doesn’t for a minute contradict that the LVs played their gameplan perfectly and pulled out a huge win. In fact, I would say UConn was out-hustled and out-coached, period. And I would be the first to say that UConn playing like crap was directly an affect of the LVs playing well.

Just ignore that poster by sliding on by his/ her BS post. The individual does the same crap in every forum. A so called SUPER FAN imo.

@maple you did nothing wrong all fan bases have their Harvey UpDykes.

Nice post so just say that. Saying UConn played like hot garbage is not true. They scored 81 for crying out loud. By saying they played like hot garbage is basically saying if they had played just average they would have won. If you meant no offense (no pun intended) I apologize but I still think Geno is a big arrogant jerk and will never be forgiven for how he treated Pat.

UCONN GOES DOWN!
— Always great to Geno “grimmacing”! (Course, I don’t think that he has any other look…)

Lady VOLS played tough tonight. Huge effort! Huge WIN!

I know Pat Summitt is SACRED, But Coach Kim Caldwell is Very Impressive!

— She just had a baby Two weeks ago!
I try to avoid hyperbole, but I think that was a program changing win. First of all, what a fun game to watch. That was a game the rivalry deserved. Great atmosphere too.

I'm not saying this team will make a Final 4 this year or even an Elite 8. But a win like that can jumpstart a program. Especially with a great recruiting class coming in. Danny White made another home run hire in Kim Caldwell.

To me this win was monumental. Like in Johnny Majors beating the Bear in 1982 BIG.

They have come so close several times already this season in SEC Play so great to see one final pay off with a W.

Anyone paying attention knows the problem is moving in the right direction.
Absolutely. And with the return of Whitehorn, Cooper, Spearman, and Boyd (who I think will be a fantastic player), in addition to that top ranked recruiting class, next year should be even better. I’d expect Kim to add 2-3 from the portal as well.

We were plain better inside than they were. Aside from winning the boards we were like 60% from 2, to their 45%ish. We had a couple clutch threes in that second half but I kept wanting to see us getting in the paint because they struggled stopping us.
Both had 42 points in the paint.

If they scored 81, we lost.

I may have my number wrong but think I saw in the stats we out rebounded them by 12 which was the largest margin this season. They are hardly ever out rebounded.

We tend to forget Wynn. 😉🤙🏼

Kim Caldwell:

* Huge surprise unknown hire by Danny White
* Starts season 13-0
* Gives birth to her first child (congrats coach Kim!)
* 17 days later, beats UT nemesis Geno and his band of wolves

Had tears in my eyes last night after this victory, as I know Pat was looking down smiling on Knoxville.

Great day to be a Volunteer!

LOL! Look at SAS’s expression. Don’t tell me there’s not a bias from some at ESPN regarding UConn.

I wondered why this game was on ESPN prime time again, but like many here, I lived through the rivalry games between Pat and Geno, and I watched again. Going by the crowd size, and so many former players coming to this game, we feel this rivalry still, even if some say we shouldn’t, so we understand those with tears in their eyes after this game, I was one, and am even teary as I write this. As long as Geno is there, this game just means more. Great win, GLV!

Sorry, but they truly did. Weakest UConn team I've seen in a long, long time. Don't mean to pile on but they won't go far in March.

I said earlier, we use to think when Azzi and Paige got to play togetherr they'd be unstoppable. Hasn't turned out that way.

Great win for the LVs! I knew we were due a good shooting night. Everything finally came together
Geno's either got to find another true post, or, adapt to the coming of the positionless game
