Good thread. I say Bama. Why? Well, I live in Alabama, so there's that. You KNOW we really didn't win last year, it was the refs. Would love to see them bitchin about the refs yet again. There is a certain arrogance here, and I'm sure the folks living in Georgia feel some of that now, but it hasn't been sustained at the same level for the same number of years that it has here in Alabama. It's relatively new over there to the East of me. Plus, I like to see Saban throwing a tantrum on the sidelines, that brings me joy.

Florida- I can't believe I'm saying this, but that game should be like a 95% slam dunk win. Treat them like Vanderbilt in 2023 and focus on the games that matter. Bama, Georgia and South Carolina (need some retribution from the Columbia fiasco). I'm going with Bama as the team to beat.
I can respect that, cause I live in Georgia fairly close to Athens, so I hate them with a passion. I'll have it "Dooley" noted, that I hated them before they finally won.

What do you think in your opinion is the biggest game of the football season for the Vols? For me personally it’s always the Bama game. Can you imagine if we beat them again down in Tuscaloosa this season? That would automatically make the season a huge success and might send the little midget Saban into retirement lol
The next one is the most important.

I said GA, and logically I think I’m correct. Yet, I feel I’m somewhat overlooking the true feelings of many Vol fans. You guys hate Bama like we hate FL it seems. Don’t get me wrong, I have hatred for TN. Stemming mostly from my childhood during the 90’s when you guys owned Athens, GA. The only coach I hated more than Fulmer was Spurrier. Of course both were honestly great coaches in their own right, but a rival fan could care less about the truth. I was just tired of getting whipped by better teams. Hence, I hated FL and TN. I hated FL more bc Spurrier had a mouth on him, and he really rubbed it in.

My point is, I can understand many Vols wanting to beat Bama again. Especially in Tuscaloosa. I’d certainly hate to lose to TN, but I could stomach that much easier than losing to FL. Even if it meant losing the East.

Perfect chance to win at the swamp this year for the first time since I don’t know when

I was there the last time…man was I young then, lol. In all seriousness, FL is usually the first good indicator as to how our season is going to go. So, I believe this game always carries a little extra significance simply bc of its early date and also bc the Vols seem to have some extra pep in their step and a lot of momentum the rest of the season if we beat the gators. Hopefully, we crush them, GBO!

Florida has to be because of you lose that game I don't believe the team could recover to beat Alabama and Georgia. You need that confidence coming out of the swamp

I also live close to Athens and would love to see us beat Georgia. Where do you live? I'm in Madison.
