Wish we had a better team this year. With this current hot streak, I think Jordan pulls a Hopson and eaves before he is ready.

McRae has yet to make it on any of the 2013 mock drafts. From what I've seen, he's still projected mid 2nd round of 2014. Most draft boards have not been updated in awhile. Probably see most updated after the big tourny.

It would be best for McRae if he some how possibly go this year if he blows up in the tourny and can get in the first round projections. I just don't think next year with Maymon back and Hubbs in the line up, that McRae will be able to put up the numbers that he will this year.

You'd think Quinn or someone would call a few scouts and get some opinions, seeing as how it's a hot topic. Tony jones said last night he's heard late first round grade from some scouts, not sure how accurate that is though.

I'll understand if he leaves obviously, but gosh I wanna see him for a full year with confidence, plus jeronne and Hubbs!

Hell Yeah!!! No double team on Stokes. Maymon at 100%. Hubbs and McRae driving and shooting from the outside. Could be a special year. But IMO McRae's best shot at getting drafted could possibly be this year. His ppg could easily go from 17+ ppg this year to 10 to 12 next year.

I hope McRae stays his senior season. I hope he doesn't get bad advice like Hopson did. That would be a blow to this team. If we can have him back along with Maymon, Stokes, Golden and another jump shooter in Hubbs then teams will have to pick their poison on who to guard.

I agree. However, if he averages 13 a game but shoots a good % because he's taking good shots and not a lot, he'd likely still get noticed. You look at the guys for UK, none of them average huge numbers, but it doesn't matter the potential is there.

I'll definitely understand if he goes, but imagining him with Hubbs keeps me up all night thinking about the possibilities.

I'd love to see him get drafted. I just think he needs another year. I don't see him going in the first round under any circumstance though. D Wade was a complete animal that tournament. That trip doub was amazing.

McRae's handle of the basketball isn't great but it's better than Hopson's was. I've never seen a supposed 5 star on the wing have as bad of a handle than Hopson did and dribble the ball off his foot or leg as much as he did.

I don't know that he's more talented, but he's showing more. How many 25+ point games did Hopson have in his last year against the SEC? 1, Jordan currently has 5. Scotty padded his numbers against lesser competition, Jordan has actually done the complete opposite.

Hopson also wouldn't drive, and was seemingly afraid of contact, Jordan is driving constantly.

Nice recognition. Congrats, Jordan.

I think he would be drafted esp if he were to continue his good play through (NCAA or NIT) Tourney, but I'm in the camp that believes he would be better served if he were to return.

You know who Jordy was behind though? Scotty came in and started. Jordy had to adapt and transition into the spot. I don't disagree Scotty had a better career but Jordy isn't done.

I feel like his ceiling is high. The improvements he made from last season to this season was remarkable. If he could continue on that he can be a potential lottery guy next season IMO. But how do you think his game would work with someone like Hubbs in the same lineup?

It all depends on grade/guarantee IMO. I personally think his ceiling is late 1st round, if the scouts don't give him that grade get the notes on what they want you to improve on and return to school.
